We were a family of four and were given a room at the street level. That was convenient. The room opened right onto the street. Very convenient. And the room was big with good A/C. Hotel is close to the train station. But then everything...More
Two words: air conditioning. Privacy and a good shower in combination with the air conditioning, made staying here bliss after backpacking through other hostels and "hotels" in Europe. Don't expect much more than a bed in a room with a reasonable location...and you will enjoy...More
We spent 4 nights there, They have a very good swimming pool (for hot summer days), restaurant and facilities. Good staff and a breakfast with so many options. Our room had a balcony with a very beautiful view.
Walking distance from the train station. Helpful people at the front desk. Walking distance to downtown Florence and the main activities (museums, etc.).

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
