Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

A lovely autumn break in Florence, this hotel is in a fantastic location, our room, which is the one pictured as I post this, was awesome. Breakfast was very good and the only reason to drop a star would be the access stairs, not a problem for us but quite steep.

This place was horrible, there is no lift so we had to walk up 85 stairs to our room and we had a shared bathroom with 8 other rooms. One toilet for upwards of 20 people and if you wanted to shower you best not do it in the morning when everyone wants to use the single toilet in

Response from Alessio M, Proprietario at Hotel Bavaria

Dear Mrs, The hotel is located in a historic building of 1500 and so there is no elevator, I do not understand what is strange in climbing some steps, when there were no elevators I wonder how they did people to climb the floors? moreover we are 2 minutes walk practically from all the major attractions more comfortable than that! The bathroom on the floor does not serve 8 rooms but 3 rooms so 6 people maximum, the other rooms have a private bathroom. But you have booked with a shared bathroom so even regard to this I do not know what else to say. The breakfast for a hotel with a star I can assure you that it is very abundant. Also the floor of the room is not to be washed. It is simply ancient and therefore a little worn, but the cleaning is rigorous and daily. Sincerely,

The reviews were pretty correct, but we must have given the smallest room there. It was very small and had no view. There was one floor fan to help with the heat. We did not care because we only slept there. Look closely at the signs on the building or you can easily walk by

Good evening, To park the car in Florence there are no free parking spaces. The most convenient car park near the hotel is the Garage of Via Fiesolana number 5, the cost is 25 € per day, also included in the price will allow you to enter the restricted traffic area of the center of Florence. You can go directly to the Garage and reach the hotel within a few minutes walk. Or you can leave your car in a park spaces outside the historic center about a 15-minute walk away, for example on the Lungarno della Vecchia Zecca, where parking is only payable from 8:00 to 20:00 and the hourly rate is about 1,50€ per hour, where you will see the blue stripes. Best regards, Alessio
