Beautiful hotel and exceptional service... Takes you back in time of ultimate romance and elegance. Highly recommended. Came for a two day visit to Florence with my parents... This gorgeous boutique hotel is making Florence unforgettable.

I stayed at this hotel for one night on a trip to Tuscany. We were greeted by lovely welcoming staff and a glass of wine was an added bonus. Our room was small but very well appointed with a large, sleek bathroom which had been recently renovated. A large shower with lovely soft towels were included. The bed was large... More

This hotel is situated a little outside the city centre on a quiet road with no passing traffic on the shores of the Arno river. Not the easiest to find on foot when you don't know the city, but actually not too far from the main rail station - 5 minutes in a taxi at a guess. The main city... More

Our stay was so lovely, be it that we stayed twice within a week, but only one night each time. Suite # 1 on the ground floor was our favourite - boutique and romantic. Staff so friendly & attentive and very good with directions to the local area. Scrumptious breakfast served each morning. Relaxing welcome drink served on terrace watching... More

We found great difficulty choosing a hotel for our one night stay in Florence on our trip exploring Tuscany with our car. We chose this place as it looked stylish and comfortable but also mainly for its ease of access with a car and the possibility of parking on site. My boyfriend upgraded our room on booking to a suite... More

My daughter booked this hotel. We stayed in Florence for 1 night, but this was an outstanding hotel. The location was right near the US embassy; therefore, we felt very safe. The staff was amazing. The breakfast was amazing. The rooms had air conditioning and comfortable beds and pillows. We walked ( or ran) to all the local sites and... More

We stayed at Lungarno Vepucci 50 with our 3 year old daughter. We had an excellent stay in this beautiful hotel- with only a short walk from major attractions, it is well located for families travelling with a stroller. The hotel has a good selection for breakfast, with a lovely terrace to watch the sunset over Florence. Additionally rooms are... More

Great Hotel, close to all the major attractions, situated right in front of a river and is beside the American consulate. The best part of the hotel was without a doubt the reception staff, absolutely phenomenal and helpful, helped us with everything.

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
