I have to say there is a serious problem with finding a hotel in Italy. Cheap means horrible service. Middle priced means horrible service and expensive means slightly acceptable service. Hotel Toscana was not an exception. All they can offer is the location 15 minutes...More
Having trusted the very reasonable reviews on another travel site, I can honestly say that some people must have appallingly low standards. I was not expecting a great deal given what we paid but it still manged to disappoint in every way.

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
Hi, I was wondering if there is a parking in the hotel as we are planning to rent a car and will arrive there on Sep 4. We would like to park the car in the hotel and walk around the city.
I appreciate if you could provide any information regarding car parks in the area.
