Really good hotel for the price. Big rooms with comfy beds. Short ish walk in to the center of florence. Small bar area that is typically pretty lifeless. Really good staff. Great value for money in Florence.

Stayed here for 2 nights a few days ago. Do not expect what you are used to in the US. Pluses are clean and comfortable rooms, excellent wifi (just enter password and connect) very friendly and accommodating staff. Bathroom is clean....just small and a bit dated compared with the bedroom. Did not mind walking to the tourist areas by the... More

It is a very good hotel near to the old town square, about 1min walking. I enjoyed it very much. Room was very clean. Staff was very nice. a little bit noise from the street. It nothing that would compromise the hotel.

Friendly, helpfull staff. Clean spacious rooms and excellent free wifi reception. Bed is good, pillow a little bit flat. Rooms are a bit dated. A bit expensive for 2 star hotel but everything in firenze is expensive if you don't know where to look or book to late. Location isn't bad, sits just at the edge of the inner city... More

This is a no-frills hotel so no mini-bar or safe in the room, and the decor is a little tired - but the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the staff were all cheerful, helpful and approachable. I would definitely stay here again.

They are very friendly, they teaches us how to walk around Florence actively even we didn't requested for it. The room is cozy and tidy, but the lights are quite dim. Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
