The bad. Room does not look like anything shown in the pictures. It looks depressing. WiFi is practical not usable, even for emails. Bed mattress is horrible, badly sagging. AirCon rattles, even at lowest fan. Slight moldy corner. Stairs carpet to the 2nd floor is so soiled and dirty it's disgusting. The good. The location, near Train station. Polite, helpful and friendly staff.

Lovely hotel. We had to come back to Florence after a week as hubby forgot his hat at another hotel and we changed our plans. Great staff, great room and even though it doesn’t have an elevator, the staff brought our luggage to our room! Wonderful place!

Great location. Great Price. Great Breakfast. Clean Room + Bathroom. Its a walk up so pack light. The hotel reception staff were so sweet. You can park at a nearby garage that you can arrange through the hotel. Overall really sweet experience, loved the location and highly recommend for those who are wanting to sightsee and explore the city and not really be in the room much other than to sleep and nap and recharge to keep going!

Great Location, very close to the central station and to the city center. One of the reception guys named Saverio was very polite and supportive. He helped us a lot with our demands and sometimes not related to the Hotel. Usually, he worked on the 2nd shift, so loof for Saverio cuz he is the man :) Disliked · On our 1st day when we received the room wasn't well cleaned. I even found fur (ping pong size ball) on the corner of the room. That is unpleasant especially on the 1st impact with the room. Another problem was the heat of the room wasn't proportional with the temperature of January. Saverio again tried to help us with extra blank and talked to the manager to increase the heat but still not enough for the entire room.

What a find in near enough to the train station to avoid the long wait for a taxi. The hotel is clean, rooms/baths are well appointed and modern. The front desk is very helpful, in particular Loren, who will take your luggage up the stairs. Breakfast is included and is very good. Overall, a very good value and quiet.

This was a nice, central hotel. The breakfast was varied and the dining area small but well maintained with friendly staff. The hotel is very easy to locate, just a short walk from the train station; however there is (to my knowledge) no lift. We were on third floor and this was 6 sets of stairs 😰. The bathroom was spacious and there was a lot of room of clothes. Water was also provided. A code was provided for accessing the property after 8pm which was very easy to use and a good security measure, although I didn’t feel the area was particularly unsafe and used the same precaution I would in any touristy city.

Just 5 minutes from the train station and an easy walk to everything. This is a great little hotel for a short stay in Florence. We stayed 3 nights between Rome and Venice. Renovated rooms, great AC, & nice breakfast (only negative was that it doesn't start till 8am, too late for tourists looking to hit the ground running.) Note no elevator, but staff offered to put bags in room. Piazza di Santa Maria Novella is just one block away with beautiful gardens and cafes. Coin Laundry across the street on Via Sant Antonio. Skip Sabatini Firenze Steak House next to the Lombardia. It is a major "rip off". You can do much better for the classic Bistecca alla Fiorentina.

It was mostly a positive experience, and the hotel has a lot of good things going for it. First, location. It's an easy, 5 minute walk from the central train station. Two, the staff. They're friendly and accomodating, and will store your luggage (and bring it to your room) if you arrive prior to check-in time, or want to spend more time walking about Florence after check-out. The rooms have a safe, and a mini-bar. Now, the quirks, none of which are deal-breakers. The lobby is small and cramped, if there is more than one party of guests checking in. As others have stated, there's no lift, and most rooms are on the second floor (third floor for North American visitors). This is something to consider if health, mobility, or age is an issue. If several rooms are using the shower at the same time, the hot water can run out. This happened on our first morning, but after that, we tried to use the shower at less than peak times. Our bed was a 4-poster situated in the centre of the room. There were no night stands alongside it, which would have been helpful since my wife uses a CPAP machine. Luckily, the headboard was wide enough to accommodate it, and there was an electrical outlet built into it. However, the USB outlet on my side didn't work. But since there are a number of electrical outlets in the room, this wasn't much of a problem. The breakfasts are great. In addition to the typical breads, cold cuts, cheeses, etc of a "continental" breakfast, there were hot dishes like scrambled eggs, bacon, and beans. The pastries are mouth watering. Fresh fruit cups are available. Coffee choices are Americano, espresso, or cappucino. Guests are also invited for coffee/tea and pastries between 4-7 PM every day. Sight-seeing wise, the hotel is located adjacent to the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, a short walk from the Central Market and its accompanying outdoor stalls (with some of the most aggressives sales people this side of Istanbul), and a 5 minute walk from Il Duomo. Most of the other sights of Florence, the Uffizi Galleria, the Ponte Vecchio, The Pitti Palance, the Galleria dell'Academia, etc. are an easy walk from the hotel. I lost count of the number of restaurants and trattorias that we passed. All in all, it was a pleasant stay, and I would definitely stay here again.

WE ALMOST GOT SCAMMED BY THIS HOTEL!!!! We booked 3 rooms and 2 of them are problematic. The toilet seats in one of the rooms is faulty and slides when you seat on it, creating difficulty even when you are peeing. We requested got a room change and were told that there were no more available rooms. Also, all the locks of the three rooms we have booked are faulty and had caused great inconvenience to us when we are going in and out of our rooms. In fact one of us got locked in the room and needed help from the hotel staff to get out. We then requested another time for a room change for our family member who got locked in. Unfortunately, the new room that our family member had got from them has a broken mirror with a crack on its surface. At first our family member did not see that there was a crack on the mirror as it was at the upper part of it. But after realising that there was a crack on the mirror, he did not inform the hotel staff as he just got a room change from the hotel and did not want to trouble them. On our second night (last day of our stay) at around 10:30pm, the hotel staff suddenly came to our room and told us that they will charge us for the cracked mirror. We reasoned with the staff as we were accused of doing something that we did not do. The many faulty parts in the room have shown the standard of this hotel and their attitude in managing the hotel. The hotel staff then said he did not want to talk anymore and will settle the matter with us on the next morning. We were worried and decided to freeze the card we used to book this hotel to prevent our card from bring charged. On the next morning, surprisingly, perhaps cunningly, the hotel staff told us that they would not charge us the 150 euros and everything is alright. It was 8 something in the morning when they told us it was okay, then we left the hotel. In the afternoon, when we unfroze the card that we used to book this hotel, we found out that our card had been charged FOUR times!!!! Two attempted transactions were at 7 something in the morning and another two were at noon time!!it was an eye opener for some of us kids who did not think of freezing the card, and had in fact believed that they would not charge our card. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL PLEASE!!!

This small hotel right by SMN train station was very conveniently located. Only 15 rooms which were large in size and the staff were so helpful. Anything you needed or wanted they helped. Even after check out they looked after our luggage so we could explore Florence some more. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the bathroom although a little small was sufficient. The breakfast was very varied and service was great. 5 min walk to the Duomo and surrounding areas where the hustle and bustle is. Only downside if you have a problem with stairs there is no lift, although staff take your cases for you. We stayed on the 3rd floor which wasn't a problem really for us but someone with bad knees it could be. Would stay again.
