We went there in June 2015. We had previously reserved a spot just a few steps away from Althea at Garage Fosi to park our rental car. The streets are narrow but we had a rather large car and had no problems driving although some maneuvering was required at times. Althea is ideally located in quiet street and all monuments...

Perfect room for a budget trip. Nice big room, very clean with a private ensuite bathroom. We walk there from the train station and the indications were quite clear. It is about 10 minutes (by foot) from the city center.

Smells good, very clean, mosquito nets, excellent customer service, quiet. You have to walk like 15 min from duomo which is the central point, but then you are 2-5 min away from palazzo Pitti with all the amazing galleries. For me, who likes walking a bit it was okay. The bus 11 from centrale stops very close. The way home...

I am a senior adult experienced world traveler, picky but not overly so, who does much research before choosing a lodging and so am rarely disappointed. LOCATION: a short walk from Pitti Palace, Santo Spirito (restaurants, bars), and not that for from the Ponte Vecchio. It is in the Altrarno section blessedly just beyond the tourist hoards, yet in walking...

Not very easy to find but very close to main Florence attractions. We only stood one night on our trip to Tuscany. The place has an old look but clean. The host Antonio it's very nice guy and helpful guy. You can find many restaurants in the area where you can try the Italian cousine.

These rooms are on the other side of the river in a neat neighborhood, plenty of restaurants. A neat little bar/restaurant a block away that makes great spritz's. Our room was good size and clean. You're an easy walk to the main square. We walked from the train station with no problems.

We spent two days at Althea Rooms. The room was ok and very clean. This is the only thing that saves the score. The bathroom was so tiny I could not turn myself inside it without bumping here or there; the basin was..man.. I didn't know there were some so tiny. I let you image what it meant shaving on...

Its an amazing place, however the location was not as expected. Easy to get from the station, a 15min walk, so its easy with small luggages. Everything works perfectly in the room, had no trouble. The owner is helpful, guided us which places to go, a really good experience overall. I wouldn't recommend it with family, its more for backpackers.

This hotel is located on the "other side" of the Arno in Florence but don't be concerned, everything is within walking distance in Florence. You're right next to the sprawling Pitti Palace, about 5 minutes walk to the Arno and the start Florence's shopping district and maybe 10 minutes to the Uffizi. The room itself was clean and the beds...
