We were placed in Katti House 2. Very close to the train station and lots of restaurants around. The bedroom and washroom is standard. Bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it was fine. Bonus for me was that they provided a hair dryer. Bedroom window...More

Great place - beautiful room with lots of charme and character, very nice and friendly owners, delicious breakfast, perfect location for us coming by train, between the station and the centre. Hoping to come back!
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on
Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.

Yes, there are parking garages all over nearby for a fee. Although, driving in Florence is a HUGE challenge. Not recommended. Beware, there are places you are NOT supposed to drive and will get a ticket in the mail after the fact. It's very easy to get caught up in these areas because streets are all 1 way. We rented a car for a couple days and we couldn't wait to get rid of it. Nothing but a big liability.
