I visited Florence for the first time and was extremely lucky to have stayed at this hotel. Not only was I 20 feet from where Michelangelo grew up as a child, but it was also in the heart of the city. Everything was a short walking distance. The staff there drew me out a map of everywhere I wanted to...

We stayed at the Hotel Santa Croce on our recent visit to Florence and it was wonderful. The hotel is located in the heart of the city within walking distance to everything. It is in a historic UNESCO building. The staff is beyond helpful. We were traveling with our 4 month old and way too much luggage. The staff took...

Small family run hotel in a very good location, central but not noisy. Our room was at the very top and I counted at least 75 steps and there is no lift. However staff carry your luggage up for you.The room was small but clean. The simple buffet breakfast was included in the price and was more than adequate although...

I had a nice two-night stay here recently. The hotel is well-situated in central Florence, within easy walking distance of all the main sights. Our room was small, but comfortable. The bathroom felt a bit cramped, however, particularly the shower. The free breakfast was nice, but nothing special. The coffee could be better! The daytime front desk staff was very...

Dear Andrew, thank you for your good review, we are happy that you had a great time here. We regret just for that little misunderstanding with Simona who is always friendly and helpful with all of our Guests and she is a strength of our staff, as described in all Customers reviews. The only reason she kindly asked you to...

My wife and I loved the hotel. Location cannot be beat - central but not too busy. Mario at the desk was the best, so helpful. BUT the rooms are tiny and awkward and the steps up to the rooms can be a challenge. Downsides of an old, classic building in an historical location.

Dear Guest, we are so happy you had a very great time here. Thank you for your review and for appreciating, as rightly you have understood, that a stay in a hotel situated in the heart of art and history may naturally be accompanied by some little, background "inconveniences", typical of all period buildings in the Historical Centre of Florence....

It's been wonderful! I truly recommend this place! People here are the best! They've been so helpul and kind! The breakfast is good, the location is incredible! Loved it! I would come back for sure! Although the room was tiny, but it had everything! Air conditioner, hair dryer, it was clean and nice, it was perfect!

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
