We stayed in this hotel for two nights having high expectations due to the good reviews from tripadvisor. The room we were given for our stay was run down and dirty. It was a few floors up and the window of the room faced the inside glass elevator shaft which is in the middle of the hotel. There were gauge...

Dear Tripadvisor user , thank you very much for your concern but I really think that your feedback is mostly an insult to me ,Roberto Boccacelli Manager of Hotel Borghese Palace since 2009 , with no chance of reply! I regret to inform you that my attitude is completely different from the description you have reported on the review !...

My new husband and I went to Europe for our honeymoon and we instantly fell in love with Florence. I can confidently say that Florence is one of the most awesome, beautiful, magical and romantic places I have ever been to and just when I thought it couldn't get any more awesome ... I walked into the Borghese Palace Art...

Just a short walk to the main square, so lovely to be so close but nice to come back and chill out. Rooms were lovely and clean had a real comfortable sleep. All staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. I would definately recommend this hotel, lovely breakfast and you only had to ask if you...

A fantastic find close to all the main tourist attractions, yet on a quiet street away from the madding crowds. In close proximity to good value eateries. The lobby and lounge area is certainly very different, with the current exhibition being a little quirky and bright!! Breakfast was substantial; our room (a superior double) was spacious and arty; decent shower...

This hotel definitely did not live up to it's advertising which quite frankly could be considered very misleading. Reception staff were really disinterested and rude - seemed to spend a lot of time on computer looking too busy to be approached. Room was shocking grubby, noisy and bathroom toilet was broken and never fixed we stayed three nights had to...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
