It's a good place to stay in Florence. It's 10 mins walking distance from Porta Romana , 15 mins walking distance from Palazzo Pitti and Boboli gardens and about 25 mins from Ponte Vecchio.
The only unpleasant thing is the steep hill that you have to walk on to reach the B&B.

We saw all the great reviews on Tripadvisor and booked this B&B. When we arrived the owner looked a bit suprised as he didn't expected us. A bit grumpy he showed us our room. The room was fine, it was clean and looked nice. But the owner wasn't as friendly as everyone was saying

"In the heat of Florence this hotel is generally very cool"
"We had the front room which was large and comfortable."
"If you are going for romance, pay the extra and take the upper rooms. the lower rooms are lovely all the same and well furnished. You can always climb the tower in town for a view."
"Make sure your room is at the back of the house and make sure your room is what is described. If you have the room we had (at the front to the left of the stairs) be prepared for noise and bites!!!"
"Since the trip was for our anniversary, we asked for "a room with a view", when we first made our booking, about 6 months before our trip."
