Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We spent two nights and the place lived up to our expectations: good price, great location, clean and good room, very good service and staff (we arrived after check-in which could be solved with whatsapp communication).

Google Translate. The Residenza le Fonticine is located in the heart of Florence not far from the covered market. For our trip to Tuscany we were bound to a quickly accessible and central accommodation, the Residenza le Fonticine was exactly the right choice. Next door you can park your car in the Garage Nazionale and reach the Residenza le Fonticine in one minute. The reception was warm and nice. The operators try very hard to ensure a pleasant stay and take good care of you. The exchange of information was good and they even wrote to you via Whatsapp (I accidentally switched off my internet and didn't answer, but everything went wonderfully). The house is safe and you have several closed doors to the room. The room is clean, well laid out and properly equipped. You can even book a few extra options. The door in the shower was a little noisy and maybe you should keep an eye on the humidity, but the shower was very large. The breakfast, on the other hand, is very limited, but you don't need as much in a B&B and an Italian breakfast gets by with much less. But it's tasty enough for us. Maybe they could put up a few more notes at breakfast and offer a little more bread, but overall ok for a B&B. The price-performance ratio is definitely right here and we will remember the B&B for the next trip! So if you're looking for solid accommodation and don't need so many knick-knacks, but are still looking for something modern and clean, you've certainly come to the right place. Friendliness and commitment are much more important and can definitely be found here. See you soon!

Great location, very clean and well kept. Staff very eager to help and give you tips on where to go and what to see. Very secure and safe. Great to walk out into the heart of Florence. A bit noisy as you are in the heart of the city.

I stayed here for 3nights. Can u imagine that you need to use your towel for 3days? If you are planning staying here, you need to accept the concept “same towel for 3days”. If you want change the towel, you need to pay extra 5 eur. Shower hose had leakage. More than half of the water flew down not to shower head. If you really want to stay here, please avoid room number 3B.

it is my third or fourth stay in this little B&B, centrally located at walking distance from both the railway station and the exhibition center, Fortezza da Basso. it is locatd very close the old San Lorenzo market. Large rooms, all renovated, nice and modern design, very comfortable bed, perfect cleaning. Room are equipped with a small fridge, air conditionign TV and a working Wi-Fi. The shower (no bathtub) may be dark in some rooms, but it is not a big problem, at least for me. Normal amenities in the bathroom. A basic but suffcient breakfast. Nice and friendly staff that can also help you in going around and/or booking trips and museums. Indeed very good value for money

So affordable, SO clean, the nicest people that really helped us plan our tours and where to eat and visit. Would highly recommend. Rooms are small but most hotels are in that area. Nice Breakfast included. It was a little difficult to find but ask around and people will help you find it

The staffs were very friendly and the location was perfect in a street full of restaurants and close to the train station. Plus the hotel gave us welcome drinks for free. The room was comfortable and cozy.

Please read this before choosing this hotel. I am sharing my experience, hopefully it would help you not go through the same experience. I booked this hotel for 4 nights, and I paid in advance. I was traveling through Italy with my family and Florence was a stop. This hotel has a limited time window for checking (till 8pm). Unfortunately my train from Venice was delayed and I missed the 8pm deadline. They immediately messaged me that I am considered a no show, I called and emailed, letting me them know that I am on the train and will be there in a few minutes. I get there a few minutes later and to my disbelief they refused to open the door. I stayed the night in a hotel nearby and went in the next morning. They told me that they gave away my room last night and since I prepaid, there will be no refund. The 400$ they ripped me off is not a big number compared to the whole trip cost. Just be ware, its always risky to deal with dishonest people.

We stayed 2 nights at Residenza Fonticine The location was really good right next to Florence’s “Mercato Centrale” and about a 5 min walk to SM Novella train station or the Duomo. On arrival we where given a room that faced the street ( Via Nacionale ) as the accommodation is on a 1st floor and the windows are very old ( wooden frame , without double glazing i think ) during the night the noise from people talking and walking by in the street could be heard perfectly inside the room making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. We informed reception the next morning and they kindly changed us to a much quieter room that faced the inner patio on the oposite side of the building. I would recommend you request a room that does not face Via Nacionale when you book. We also noticed that the bathroom mirror lights did not work in any of the two rooms we stayed in. Apart from these small problems this place is good value and in a great location to explore Florence.
