Very nice hotel. They were kind enough to allow us early check in after a long flight. Room is very nice and well appointed. There is noise from the street and the bells do ring early in the morning. All of which is expected when you are staying in a city. I can agree with the others regarding the a/c not being cool enough. Staff was very professional and willing to help you with anything.

Great location and affordable! The staff was so welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and updated. We had a room with a view of a side street which kept the noise level down. Very busy area but the hotel was like a quiet oasis. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Florence.

We loved the Rodo Hotel. The location can't be beat, we literally walk out the hotel door and there was the Duomo. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean, cute and modern. Breakfast on the terrace was a perfect way to start the day.

Located on the side of the streets with a fairly small signboard, couldn't have found it without google map, thus I wasn't expecting much from it. However, checking into the room was a pleasure for the rooms were nicely decorated and had a sense of individuality in them. There's a small table with a kettle and a selection of teas so that the guests could have a cup of hot tea at anytime they like. Breakfast selection was small but lovely and cosy as well. The open air dining area was just really cute and eating there early in the morning overlooking Florence's inhabitants starting their day was just enjoyable and delightful.

A wonderful place to stay for a few days, to explore Florence. Right in the middle of the city, close to Duomo/Cathedral. The hotel reception, breakfast room and terrace are on the first floor, the rooms and the third (on the second floor is different hotel). The rooms are spacious, the staff is very helpful. No complaints whatsoever about the service, If I visit Florence again, I'm sure I will stay here.

We stayed here for three nights at the beginning of September. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated, with a great spread for breakfast. The noise from the street and the Duomo bells was a bit loud so I would recommend bringing earplugs if you like to sleep in at all (I think the bells started ringing at 7am but it didn't seem to be at a regular interval). Very comfortable beds and pillows! The staff was extremely friendly and offered lots of suggestions for restaurants that were not touristy. They were also very kind to offer us a welcome drink as it was our honeymoon. My only suggestion would be to add more storage space/a shelf in the bathroom and there was no place to set your stuff.

I stayed for four days in August during a friend's wedding celebrations. The hotel is centrally located yards from El Duomo and an easy 10-15 max walk from the train station. I arrived before check-in time and the very helpful girl on reception (which is on the 1st floor) took my bag, let me use the toilet and gave me a map to wander round - the room (all rooms are on the 3rd floor) was ready very shortly after when I returned from a quick stroll. There is a small lift to get between the floors but one thing to note is that you can only call the lift to your floor if the door has been closed on the floor it's stopped at. This meant at times I had to take the stairs. Whilst it didn't bother me, if you're reliant on a lift to get up 3 floors you might struggle. There's also…

Very friendly and welcoming staff in what is a very well run and organised boutique hotel. Don't expect any of the facilities of a large hotel - this is all about a great location (probably the best in Florence) with a lovely AC room to come back to in the evening. Our bathroom was "compact" but nonetheless efficiently designed. We took a little baby and this location was brilliant so we could come back when we were out and about for a rest / feed. I would have no issue coming back here again and would recommend!

Not sure why this hotel has only 3 stars as I have stayed in many places with 4 that were not nearly as nice. Warm welcome. All the staff speak good English (but don't turn their noses up if you want to practise your Italian). Clean, air-conditioned, quiet room with everything we needed. Brits may want to choose a superior room because they have kettles, which not all Italian hotels do. The decor is quirky but it's nice that each room is unique. Lovely terrace for breakfast or drinks in the evening. Duomo is literally on your doorstep and all the other major sights are easily accessible on foot.

My sister and I chose Rhodo Hotel when we where staying 24 hours in Florence. And it was great! It was a bit pricy for just one night, but that's how it is during the tourist season. What's cool is that all the rooms are differently designed and furnished. So they are all unique! Breakfast was included in our deal, and is eaten on the terrace outside, with the lovely view of Santa Maria della Fiore, and people passing by on the street. Wifi was also included. The room was neat and clean, the service was great and the beds had the best duvets and pillows (semi soft) I've ever slept on, in a hotel. The bathroom is very modern and the towels are also super soft! We had some trouble adjusting the AC, as it was touch screen and we didn't completely understand it. All in all, we loved…
