Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

The staff is friendly and the room was nice. I had a single room and it was a good size. Fine variety of breakfast and you can choose between eating at the breakfast room or the terrace. The location is perfect and you can't be more centrally located (right by the duomo) There were only very few "negatives" - you can't adjust the aircon and there is a little noise from the street (nothing major)

I had a nice 4 night stay here, the hotel is very well located you are close to the Duomo and EVERYTHING is walking distance. I stayed in the Texstyle room which is a single room the room was quite big for a single room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean. I was a little thrown off when I arrived though the hotel is located in a building Floor 1 is the reception and Floor 3 are the rooms. Floor two is another hotel and the remaining floors are residential apartments, the elevator is VERY tiny. The reception is not 24hrs it's open from 7am to 11:30pm and at night you need a code to access the building. I had never stayed in a hotel like this, it was interesting (not a negative just different). There was also no safe in the room which is

This was an interesting experience. While the hotel wasnt particularly expensive, i was expecting a bit more than what I got. First off, the location is superb. Right next to the Duomo cathedral and about a 12 minute walk from the central train station. I think the problem is that most buildings in Florence are very old and retrofiring them as hotels is not an easy task. The elevator fits 2 people. That thing was tiny. The room itself was around 130 square feet, maybe less. There was not even desk space to put things away. The bathroom was relatively large in comparison to the room, but the space was not optimized. Again, there was no desk space to lay any toiletries. It was just sink and what you could fit on the sink. The staff was friendly so that surely made up for

Response from Rodohotel, Front-office agent at Numa I Rodo Rooms & Apartments
Responded 10 Sept 2017
Dear Jose_Fontao we really appreciate you take time to write about your stay at Rodo Hotel. In the city center of Florence the majority of buildings are historical and very old, therefore it results not easy a whole renovation of them, especially the shared areas, like in our building: the entrance and the elevator. Our guest feedback it is very important to improve the services offered: in fact, we are planning some improvement in our rooms to make them more functional and comfort. We really hope to have the chance to welcome you once again in Florence next time. Kind regards

We stayed at Rodo Hotel for four nights and the last night at their other hotel Casa di Rodo outside of Florence. Rodo Hotel is very central and a few steps from Duomo and walking distance to shopping streets, restaurants etc. Every room is unique so it feels a bit like "home". Very nice cleaned and the bathrooms are in excellent shape. The breakfast is small but a very nice Italian one. You also get to choose what kind of coffee you like. At night it gets a little bit "noisy"(obviously because of the church bells in the morning and the hotel is central located), but the rooms are provided with earplugs for this matter. They will be useful! The Casa di Rodo is just wonderful! Pool, garden, lovely lunch and dinner. I would really recommend to visit this place for one or two

Privileged location: facing the Duomo. Short walking distance from the train station, Shopping, attractions, close to EVERYTHING!!! Beautiful decor all around. The room was beautiful, comfortable, clean, spacious, good quality toiletries, and a gracious common area with tea/coffee. Breakfast was delicious and OUTSTANDING STAFF! Planning to stay there again next year. Lovely experience!

We stayed at this lovely hotel during our trip to Florence in late April 2017. It was a great stay! Staffs are friendly and resourceful. The rooms are very well-kept. What we like the most is its convenient location. We can walk to nearly every attractions in the city within 15-20 minutes. We would definitely stay at Rodo during our next trip to Florence.

This is a moderately priced hotel with rooms and service that feel much more upscale. Very attractive and comfortable rooms, nice terrace, and a perfect location a few meters from the Duomo and not far from Uffizi.
