This hotel came as part of a really budget booking so had low expectation. The venue is not picturesque BUT...

The hotel is only a 3 minute walk from the station (we arrived from Pisa) and there is an absolutely superb steak restaurant only 2 mins walk away. It takes around 10 mins walk to be in the heart of the old town and the major sights so, all in all, we found the location to be just right.

The room was ultra modern and clean, it was serviced every day, and had all that you could want on a short break. Any longer than 3 - 4 days and it might feel a little small but it was literally a place to sleep and wash.

Breakfast was great on each occasion. Despite the toaster not working the ladies tried their very best to keep everyone happy. Fresh juice brought to your table, an espresso or cappuccino made to order, fresh pastries and a nice modern feel to the dining area.

Whoever was on reception, the service was excellent. It was clean, smart and efficient and we left with good memories.

Booked this as part of a package and had read good reviews. Mostly agree with other reviews, it is modern and clean, however can feel a bit clinical/lacks in character.

It's a great location close to the station and a 10-15 minute work into the centre and only a few minutes from the train station. Considering the train station is so close, and that there's a tram stop right outside, it's surprisingly quiet in the rooms when the door to the balcony is closed. The only thing we found with our room is that is was really hot (the thermostat wouldn't go lower than 20) so i dread to think what it gets like in summer.

Breakfast was great every morning, with a pancake machine and the staff would make smoothies for you. The staff at breakfast were always super friendly. Didn't find the staff on reception quite as helpful though.

Monday was our last night here and on Monday morning we went to book the spa (which was included in the package) to be informed that it was closed on Mondays. I hadn't seen any information about this on the spa pack and no one mentioned it at check in which was a bit annoying.

Also at breakfast there's a sign saying all the things they do to help with the environment, yet when it comes to the rooms there's tiny plastic bottles for shower gel etc, they don't give you the option to keep your towel for another day and they take the bar of soap away and put a newly packaged one there which seems pointless.

Overall I the hotel is fair value for money in a great location, but there are a few things they could do to make it feel more personable.

Close to main train station and easy walk to all major attractions of Florence. Rooms modern and clean, good breakfast and friendly staff. This hotel is also a short walk to local restaurants away from main tourist routes.

Getting to the hotel was so easy. Just buy your tram ticket for 1.50Euros from the shop Hudson in the airport before boarding the tram and after 20 mins journey the tram stops right outside the hotel. We were all very pleased with the hotel which was brilliantly located just a short walk from town in a quiet area but with lots of great restaurants nearby. The rooms were spacious, with plenty of rooms for clothes, a kettle, a stocked minibar and a hairdryer on the wall in the bathroom. Reception staff were really helpful and a special thank you to the breakfast team who went above and beyond, bringing us gorgeous fresh scrambled eggs and making up breakfast bags for our early departure for a trip to Cinque Terre. There is a roof terrace with seating and a ground floor seating area too. Reception provided a nice bottle of wine for 15Euros one evening. We didn't use the spa so can't comment on that. Highly recommend this hotel, and thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed here for a week during Easter holidays. The room we booked was a superior room, we are a family of 3 with a teenage daughter. The room was small with limited storage when your child brings multiple outfits to wear.

That said although the room was on the small side or was actually fine as we spent so much time out exploring the city. The hotel staff were fantastic, really helpful and go out of their way to look after you. The ladies who worked in the breakfast room were so lovely, made you feel so welcome and just really nice. The hotel is clean, the bed is so comfortable but you might want to ask for an extra pillow.

The hotel itself is really central 5 minutes from Santa Maria Novella train station and 10 minutes from Duomo. It's an excellent base for exploring the city. There's is also a great little cafe/gelato/wine bar just down the street.

All in all this is a great choice and I'd stay here again if we visited Florence again.

Great place to stay with about 10 minute walk from the train station with suite cases in tow, Google maps will get you right to the hotel with out any problems at all. This hotel is updated and they do provide breakfast if it’s included in your hotel rate, if not then you will have to pay for the breakfast. The only recommendation we have for the hotel is to update the pillows as they are flat as can be and that’s with us using two pillows, the bed was comfortable and they do have elevators so you won’t have to worry about lugging suite cases up the stairs. I would differently stay here again when we do come back to Florence.

A really lovely, modern hotel.
Yes, it's near the station which will put some people off, however, most people come on a city break, not a package deal, so it was so easy to find and only 10-15 walk into the centre.
We had a view of the Duomo from our room- which was amazing.
A pool had recently been built so that was an added bonus (as we didn't think there was one)
The staff were brilliant, all the light fittings are touch sensitive and my reading didn't work so they brought a lamp up.
Breakfast staff really worked their socks off and could not do enough then when finished waiting cleaned rooms and later in the day waiting on and brought drinks around the pool.
Breakfast was fab, probably too much. There was a good choice of bacon and scrambled egg, boiled eggs, cakes, meats, waffles, pancakes, cheeses, the most amazing honey which seemed to come straight out of the hive! Freshly squeezed juices, bread rolls, butter, I liked the coffee ( I know someone on here didn't) each to their own.
We would have liked a late bar but it shut at 9, saying that if you asked reception they would give you a drink.
we would return.

We arrived at the hotel it was myself and my 2 daughters in their 40,s the room was good, modern with a fridge tv etc. there was a king sized bed and a kind of seat which was made into a bed, more for a child than an adult really but it sufficed for the 3 nights we were there. The breakfasts are good for the variety but the cooked part I.e. scrambled eggs, bacon and tomatoes were kept in a tray which had been cooked early and by the time we went for breakfast around 9 they were cold as was the coffee in the urns, which I did advise the staff about, but the next day the same thing occurred so breakfast wasn’t for me,there was cold meats and cheese and a selection of cold croissants and cake. There was a selection of fruit and smoothies which were made there too, but the toast machine wasn’t good and the toast was very thin and was brittle.

My daughter enquired about having a massage and we were advised that they would need to contact the masseur and they would let us know, my daughter agreed a provisional time and we waited for a response. However the reception staff didn’t notify us that they had confirmed with the masseur so we went about our day, we were then charged for the masseur as we didn’t turn up for the massage as we weren’t advised it had been confirmed. There was no apology and they wouldn’t budge from the charge which I found was not very customer focused at all so beware of booking treatments here. Overall not a bad little place with the tram stop right outside the door. At present there are some building works going on next door too.

I mean as city hotels go , this isn't the worst but I cant see a 4 star hotel . The room was clean with decent hanging space. The mattress was uncomfortably hard and one flat pillow that they really needn't had bothered with . You have a fridge in the room which was handy . The breakfast was poor offerings. The pancake machine didn't work and Crossaints were burnt. The eggs had seen better days and were looking rather grey . Staff on reception were hit and miss , we arrived and were greeted with smiles and helpfull tips . However after a staff change reception was then found to be very unhelpfull . There was a train strike and when we enquired what options were available we were met with shrugs . However the tram that stopped right outside the hotel takes you to Florence Airport, to which you can then get a bus to Pisa airport . The spa was okish . Pool no more than a plunge pool but the steam rooms were decent . My likes were the closeness to city and the cleanliness. The cleaning staff were also very friendly.
