I chose Lucca to be my first destination for my 3 weeks' holiday in Italy and this was my choice of hotel to recuperate from my transatlantic flight! The place was clean and peaceful and well-run. It was located just outside the city wall 5 minutes from the bus terminal and the TI in Piazzale Verdi. They served a good...

We spent 1 night at Marina's B&B! FIRST of all she was soooo Adorable, friendly and welcoming. That we instantly felt at home. She really cares about the wellbeing of her guests. She took time to talk to us, to suggest things. She helped us organize a cooking class in Lucca that was out of his world. The house is...

Il Giardino del Pettirosso is a delightful B&B located just 5/10 minutes walk from the beautiful walled city of Lucca. If it was possible to rate it 11 out of 10 we would. It is owned and run by Marina, who couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant. She was ably assisted by Greta. The B&B itself is clean, and...

Located in a peaceful road just a few minutes' walk from the walled city, this B & B is a good find. Marina the owner is very helpful & pleasant & the simple rooms have nice details to make them welcoming. Comfortable bed. Small shower room could be a problem for larger people. Good WiFi in the room. Small private...

First of all, Marina, definitely hostess with the mostess. This little gem of a b&b is in a perfect location, just a 5 minute walk from the city walls. I stayed in room 102, overlooking the back garden. Beautiful room, light airy and very comfortable. On arrival, Marina showed me around my room, and the breakfast room, advising of serving...

The owner Marina couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The rooms were spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and the breakfast was delicious. We loved being able to eat it in the garden. The location is perfect for exploring the city and it was great to be able to avail of the free bikes. Secure parking was also a plus.

We'd picked this place because of the reviews that praised its location, just outside the walls, the tranquil garden, and the nice interiors. Which is exactly what we found. As well as the best Wi-Fi of our trip, incredibly friendly, responsive hosts, and great breakfasts. The free bikes were a nice plus - even though it was raining for much...

We chose this because of the name! It is very charming and comfortable, with a lovely big bed and crisp white sheets. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide choice of foof and fruit juice. Best of all, we were given a lift to the station in the morning......This was such a nice gesture, over and above the call of...

We stumbled on this great B&B, Marina was so very nice, she helped us plan our days in Lucca and Florence. It was just a short walk to the center, and a short walk to the train as well that we took to Florence. Although is was raining and a bit cool we really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend.

Warm & informative welcome by Marina & hubby. We were given a choice of rooms and opted for one at the rear of the house overlooking the garden. Room was bright and airy, bed very comfortable and we were delighted to have tea & coffee making facilities in the room - unusual in our experience of Tuscany. Recommendation of trattoria...
