++++++++My husband and I were first introduced to Hotel Villa Volpi 10 years ago and we stay there every time we return to Italy. The villa is quite beautiful and the view is like something out of a movie. You just can’t believe how beautiful it really is. Originally, the building was a convent in disrepair. The owner’s family bought...

We stayed in a suite, which was very comfortable and with a Wonderful view. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Amazing tuscan hills are surrounding the hotel. Pool is great, bathrooms were fresh as were the rooms in general. Only two things that were a bit negative were 1. that we didnt have wi-fi because our suite was in a separate...

I'll start with the good- the building and the hotel grounds are absolutely stunning. The view is to die for. The pool area is lovely with a beautiful infinity pool. The drive to the hotel was actually not bad and not complicated at all. The man at the reception gave us a recommendation for a restaurant near by that was...

My husband and I booked this hotel for a quick stop on our trip between Portafino and Rome. It is absolutely beautiful! We stayed it the main hotel. Just and FYI when trying to find with GPS look under Villa Volpi. We got lost for over an hour looking for it. Once we arrived we were brought to our room...

Villa Volpi deserves 85% of the total score. The only drawback is the management and their cunning attitude towards clients. Having read the reviews of the property, we made sure we booked the Castello di Mammoli. It is a property of the same owner about 500 away from Villa Volpi. Castello has obviously better reviews and higher score on Booking.com...

This hotel is a refurbished villa high on a hill, accessed by a long winding road and with endless views over the surrounding hills, vineyards and olive groves. Wonderful bathroom, bed, safe and A/C but dreadful TV that staff simply couldn't get to work in any fashion (but who cares). Beautiful pool in great setting. Superb outdoor restaurant for breakfast...

Are you planning a trip to Italy and want to stay in a beautiful setting alongside olive groves and grape vines, far enough away from noise but close enough to major attractions such as Pisa and Lucca? Do you gravitate to the poolside with a glass of wine or beer after a long day of touring or travel? Will you...

We were looking for somewhere to stop over for two nights as we traveled from Pisa down to Rome and my husband came across Villa Volpi on the internet. By the time we arrived from the airport it was late and the restaurant (attached to the hotel but not run by the hotel owners) had just closed. The hotel owner...

Hotel was in classic converted stone buildings on hillside outside Lucca. 15 mins by car. Rooms and public areas very clean and comfortable. Staff helpful. Pool dramatic views and good size. Breakfast on lovely outside terrace was disappointing - dry bread and cold coffee but this was the only negative. Be clear as to whether you are not in the...
