We spent two nights at this hotel using it as a base to visit Lucca, Pisa and Cinque Terre. There was free car parking in the hotels car park. We were able to walk to Lucca easily. We cannot understand some of the reviews which attracted us to stay here. The building is in a run down area. Yes in walking distance to the old city. We loved our stay in Lucca and used this hotel as a base for 10 days to visit San Gimignano, Siena, Florence, Pisa and Perugia. A lovely friendly clean hotel within easy walking distance of the old town walls. Ideal for visiting Pisa, Florence and Viareggio as both the bus and railway station are within walking distance.
