We came to Il Pino because they offer gluten free pasta. I am happy we didn't run away after reading the awful reviews. Service was prompt and friendly. We shared a large salad and the stewed wild boar. Our friends had delicious vegetable soups. Food was tasty and service was prompt. The fresh bread was delicious, according to my gluten-eating... It seems we (as a couple) are expecting more when we stay a night in a small (7 room) hotel. We arrived very late about 11pm and the kitchen help set us up and got us into the room Wow. Couldnt wait to eat there. We where not disappointed , lots of locals always a good sign Dont pass this one by

We found this spot at the last minute. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. Room was 55 Euros and well worth it!! Very convenient to everything in this wonderful little and charming town. Don't miss it!!

When we arrived in San Gimignano we had not booked ahead and could not get a room in any of TA's recommended gaffs. We passed Il Pino restaurant and noticed that there were rooms available above. We were shown the room by a friendly member of the team and decided to take it as we would rather explore than room... More
