This is a great town. Your entrance is very near the towns gate. Apt is on the second floor and has a shared balcony that over looks a quiet garden. We rented two large rooms, each with modern and clean bathroom. There is no fluff about this placed but is comfortable, large and clean. Beds and bedding are adequate, but... More

Myself and my wife stayed here for a couple of nights in San Gimignano in June 2012. My wife is fluent in Italian and the owner is not fluent in English! She is however very friendly and she did introduce someone who could speak English to us. It is a wonderful place to stay and the location is really good,... More

This B&B is located inside San Gimignano, on the main avenue. However the room we stayed is facing the backside, plus after dark when the busload day tourists are gone, it is very quiet. The place has a very charming traditional old house ambiance, makes you feel like you are back in old time (Oh those lovely old-style wooden doors... More

We were offered the choice of a room overlooking the main street or the one with the terrace looking over the back yard / vegetable garden. We chose the terrace room and I would definitely recommend it. I agree with the comments about Giovanna not speaking English and my Italian is almost non-existant but we communicated enough to get our... More

Casa di Giovanna is a lovely unpretentious B & B - our room was a great size, really comfortable and clean, with a super view right onto the main street. Giovanna doesn't speak English, and we don't speak Italian, but we managed to communicate sufficiently well through hand gestures; she is a friendly and gracious host, and makes the tastiest... Good value for money right in the main street of San Gimignano. Giovanna does not speak a word of English and the breakfast is rather light...other than that the room was clean, Giovanna is friendly and its right in the main street of SG (was a bit noisy the first night but then very quiet the second). If you want... More

La Casa di Giovanna was better than I expected. My husband and I spent four nights there. We could breath the atmosphere of the medieval town, since we were in one of the old buildings of San Gimignamo. Our room had a view of the little main street, it was noise sometimes during the night, but it didn´t bother us.... More

But for the lack of parking; the bedroom, service and location deserve the maximum rating. My partner and I found La Casa di Giovanna, extremely comfortable, spacious, inviting, and clean. The high wood beams ceilings, the slightly crooked floor, the tall windows with shutters overlooking the main road; helped me to experience, in tiny part, how life must have been... More

The room was nice, clean, not too many stairs. The bed was comfortable, water was hot and there was a selection of books to read. The person that greeted us was nice but does not talk english. The room had a nice terrace and it was very pleasant to sit outside and have a drink and visit. Breakfast was okay... More

Me and my husband had booked a room at "La casa di Giovanna" a month before our visit to San Gimignano. When we arrived there, the man who was responsible (I think he was Giovanna's son) took us to another room of another nearby holiday rental and he claimed that he was fixing the baths (and he didn't me email...
