When we arrived at Palazzo Borghesi we just couldn't believe this would be home for the next 3 nights.
We felt very special and were treated like VIPs. The breakfast was something we looked forward to each morning.
Having never been to Siena we weren't sure what to expect... Siena is the most beautiful restful town. Its clean tidy and full of friendly locals that love their town.
Thank you we have voted you the best town and accommodation of our trip

We spent two nights in Siena at the Borghesi and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is great and they have an arrangement with a local garage to park your car and then drive you in to the residence--it was easy and hassle free and eliminated the need for a stressful drive within the walled city. This is more like a bed & breakfast than a hotel. Borghesi only has 5 or 6 rooms and each is different. The building dates back to 1400's and each room is unique. It is perfectly located within Siena and quiet at night. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The only suggestion I would make is that they replace the hair dryer with a more powerful, updated hair dryer. The wall-mounted hair dryer was a challenge! The two or three ladies running the reception were most helpful, available, and provided outstanding service. Breakfast is included and you may take a voucher to eat out or take your breakfast in which is arranged by the staff. We did the later and very much enjoyed. The Borghesi is perfect for the traveling couple and I would highly recommend.

Our family of four stayed at Residenza d'Epoca Palazzo Borghesi recently during our first trip to Italy as a family. Owners Cristina and Paolo checked in with us regularly as we made our way north to Siena and ensured that everything was lined up perfectly upon our arrival, from valet parking to check in.
The residence is in excellent condition and it is full of wonderful artistic and historical artifacts that reference Siena and surrounding areas. Our sons (11 and 8) felt at home from the outset with them both taking turns on the piano in the family room as Asja was checking us in and providing a helpful overview of the residence. Our suite was spacious, clean and elegant and it featured a balcony with spectacular views of Siena.
Located a short walk from Piazza del Campo, the Duomo and many other attractions, the residence serves as a unique window into the everyday life and activities of noble families from back in Siena’s heyday. Siena is a special place and staying at Residenza d'Epoca Palazzo Borghesi made our first trip to the area as a family truly special and unforgettable. We loved having breakfast in the family room at the start of each day and unwinding there in the evenings. Thank you again Cristina and Paolo for sharing your beautiful residence and story with us and for being so attentive throughout our stay. Thanks to you, we experienced Siena at its best.

I booked the Rosea Ansedonia room as part of my first solo trip to Italy and I could not have been luckier in my choice of room and B&B. The friendly owners gave me a wonderful tour of their family’s historical home and every inch of the residence is covered in beautiful artwork, furniture, chandeliers, and pieces of history. I was lucky enough to learn that the room I was staying in was the former childhood room of the owner himself! Upon entering my room I was so surprised to see the amazing view of Siena and the Tuscan countryside right outside my bedroom window. It was so beautiful in fact, I stayed in my room for so long relaxing and just soaking in the precious sights, I barely worried about seeing the rest of Siena! The bathroom is elegant, modern, and big! It even had a little side makeup room with a floating bar on the wall attached. Breakfast was served every morning in the gorgeous breakfast room and was delicious each time. There is a yummy gelato shop just steps from the entrance of the building so that’s a bonus as well. I would recommend taking a taxi to and from the hotel if you are coming by train. I was lucky enough to have them help me call a taxi after checking out, something I was so grateful for! All in all it was a wonderful experience that allowed me to enjoy the relaxing break I was looking for in the middle of my busy trip. I hope to return soon and next time with a partner, because this place screams romance!

First thing, do not try to drive to the hotel. They have an excellent deal with car valet Leonardo, their driver drives your car through cobbled street via sharp bends directly to the hotel, drops you and your cases off outside, returns the car the next day at a specific time, for €35. Try doing it yourself will result in a long lasting domestic. Ring the bell, door opens, small elevator on the right. On the second floor, friendly welcome, beautiful rooms, great shower, check in between 3-7 pm, you get keys to get in and out. You are right in the centre, everything close by. Breakfast al fresco is amazing, try the small roof top terrace. Amazing place

Dear Guest, thank you for your recent stay at Residenza d’Epoca Palazzo Borghesi. We are about 80 meters far from the Duomo, and 3 minutes by walk to Piazza del Campo. We totally agree with you about the car valet service, it’s a very appreciated service if you reach Siena by car! Our frescoes are from 18th century, original and restored in 2016 when we decided to renovate the apartment and let our guest to live a special experience! Best regards Cristina

Loved our stay at Residenza d'Epoca Palazzo Borghesi. Great location in Siena, super close to the main piazza.

A place with a lot of family history, a beautiful main dining room/seating area, and wonderful rooftop access. Our room was lovely and had a beautiful view of Siena from a large window that could open completely.

Very friendly proprietors as well, communicated with us well.

The only downside is having to park about a 7 min walk, but this is necessary as cars are not allowed in the main parts of the city, so understandable. We consolidated our luggage into smaller bags so it was not so bad to bring them.

Would come back!

Dear Virginia, Thank you very much for your kind review! Your beautiful words make us very proud! There are many parking options near the city center, the nearest public garage is 7 minutes walk, but, at the same price you can choose the private garage that works with many hotels and offer a safe place for your car and the car valet service that take you to the hotel! We are at your disposal, as written in our confirmation email, to reserve this service. We think it's the most comfortable option. Waiting for you soon Best regards Cristina, Paolo and staff

Myself and my 2 teenage boys stayed for 2 nights at the Residenza d’Epoca Palazzo Borghesi and it was like no other hotel accommodations we have ever stayed at. From the room to the location to the service, everything about our experience was the best. We stayed in the Le Grottesche suite which is 2 levels. A queen bed on the first level and 2 single beds on the 2nd level, all of which were perfect for us. It has a small balcony that has a beautiful view of Siena and the country side. The bathroom was roomy and had every amenity that we needed. The ceiling is painted with Frescoes from the 1500’s! Just a truly unique hotel. Silvia, at the front desk was so delightful and friendly at every encounter. She gave us incredible restaurant, guide and shopping recommendations, which was very helpful. I also emailed her months ahead of our trip with questions about trains and transportation to the hotel, which she answered very promptly. The hotel itself was a residence before being converted into a B&B so it has a very home like feel in the common areas. We would fill out a breakfast menu the night before and give it to Silvia. It had everything you could possibly want and more and everything was set out the morning after in the dining and/or living room on a table for the 3 of us. There is a beverage refrigerator with wine and champagne in the main dining area that is for quests, which was nice touch. There is also a roof top terrace that had incredible views of the city which I enjoyed in the evenings. The location can’t be beat with a short walk to everything in the city. This was our first time in Italy and I am so glad we decided to stay here. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. I am incredibly particular with hotels and this one blew it out of the water.

We were delighted to find this gem of a B&B - not strictly a hotel - a real taste of "old Italy". It occupies two floors of this 16th century building, originally a private palazzo, and it still has that feel about it. Don't miss the lovely, hand-painted ceiling decorations!
If you arrive by car, you need to leave it in a parking garage outside the old city walls as cars are not allowed inside. But they will drive you to the Residenza and pick you up.
We enjoyed the 'Green' room with its charming little terrace overlooking the rooftops of Siena. It was perfect for both sharing a half bottle of champagne from the mini bar on arrival and for breakfast the next morning.

My wife and I decided to have a long weekend in Siena for her birthday. We chose the Residenza d'Epoca Palazzo Borghese because we wanted something special. We are so glad we made this choice. The location is excellent and only a short walk from all the major sites. The entire experience, from our reservation confirmation by Cristina to our check out three days later, was perfect. The palazzo common areas and rooms are all spectacular. We selected the Viridi Gallia room because of the balcony and it was fabulous. Having breakfast on our private balcony overlooking Siena was amazing. Communication with Silvia and Paolo before and during our stay was friendly and professional. They were able to accommodate all our needs. I highly recommend staying at Residenza d’Epoca Palazzo Borghese when visiting Siena.

It was nice lovely en-suite, rosy color wall, with subtle lights on in the evening was so romantic. And the living area are well displayed and elegantly decorated with good taste of paintings, tablewares and delicate pieces. Whenever you walk into the house, feels immediately relaxed and back to the old times. I would highly recommend people stay there. Breakfast is also decent and with everything you needed. Walkable distance to all the hot spots in the town.
