Pleasant welcome by English speaking receptionist who had a good recommendation for dinner. On a busy road 500m from Porte Camollia, so get a room back from the road. They have their own car park (10€) but street parking nearby. Room pleasant with good wifi, aircon, TV, mini fridge. Great breakfast. Recommended

Thank you so much, martyngs, for leaving us such a nice review and for saying so many nice words about us. We're thrilled to read that you especially appreciated the location, the different parking possibilities, the comfortable rooms and the super breakfast. Most of the rooms facing the main street have soundproof windows and usually the traffic's not a problem since it normally stops around 9-10 pm. Our wonderful multilingual staff has always good suggestions on where to go to enjoy genuin tuscan food. We really hope you'll be able to come back soon! Best regards, Hotel Italia Staff

Very good service overall. Our original room was facing the street and there were some noise and we asked if it was possible to get another room facing the backside. We got moved to an annex building where no noise issues whatsoever, even our luggage were transferred while we were away.

The breakfast is sufficient but not as ample as in some bigger hotel breakfast buffets. The cakes are too good, especially a cheesecake that had red and black currants on the top! The breakfast room can get crowded but there’s another room just opposite the lobby.

There’s a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel to the historic city center.

The hotel has a small parking lot (for a fee) but we had no issues with finding a free parking spot on the street behind the hotel.

The bed comfort could be a tad better, but it would be unfair to take away a whole point for that.

It’s difficult to top the price-quality ratio of this hotel! 4.5 out of 5 for Hotel Italia.

Dear Guest, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are happy that our staff was able to meet your requests and needs, and that the room where you stayed was to your liking. And we are even more pleased that the breakfast prepared by our "breakfast queens" was to your liking: there is a variety calibrated not to be excessive but congenial to maintain goodness and choice! We hope to host you again in the future if you decide to return to visit Siena, so as to offer you (in addition to the strategic location of the Hotel Italia) even more comfort for your stay in the city!

We stayed at the Hotel Italia in the begging of November. We’ve got a really cosy mansarda. The most positively impressive was the kindness of staff! The location is very convenient: walking distance from the center and very close to the central station and other public transportation, but in a quite place, with no crowds scurrying back and forth. The interior, exterior and cleanliness of the hotel is very good! I would also point out healthy rich breakfast made of local products.

We stayed here for one night while visiting Sienna. We booked an executive room as we read the rooms were located on a completely rennovated floor. The room was spacious, bed comfortable and shower hot. Our credit card had an issue for booking and they were completey understanding and kept the room for us anyway. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast is abundant with a nice variety (coffee is fantastic even though from a machine but brand is WFF). Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the center but quiet at night and parking on the street is available if you are lucky enough to find a spot (or €10 if you need to park inside their facility). The only negative is they still do buffet for breakfast which is the first time we have seen that in a hotel since Covid. Would be better if they had one person serving us (especially with German guests around who think it's ok to not wear their mask if they have to go up and get more food). Room was also a bit hot at night but that night was freezing so it was actually nice. We would definitely return!

Dear Guest, Thank you for leaving your feedback on TripAdvisor I'm glad to know how you appreciated our Executive rooms! Regarding the location, Hotel Italia is at 10 minuts on walk from the city center, but outside the restricted area, so it's very easy if you arrive with car or with train (there are the escalator directly from the train station). Regarding the buffet, in all the hotel we can do the buffet from December, but we have decided to wait the end of the emergency period, so we have restarted with the buffet from April. All the guests have to respect the distance and have to wear the mask and use the saniting gel. Hoping to welcome you again Regards from Siena Flaminia Masoni

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Italia for one night on our way between Rome and Florence. The hotel itself is very convenient to the train station - literally walk outside the train station, walk into the mall, up the escalator...and about 8 more escalators...turn right and the hotel is there. Easy!

Check in staff were friendly and offered a map to get to the gates of Siena, as well as some other suggestions. Easily walkable and a very cute area.

We loved sitting on the rooftop patio in the morning with a cup of coffee and some pastries. Speaking of, this little boutique hotel had an AMAZING breakfast in the morning! Everything was fresh and delicious.

I would definitely recommend. Room was small, but had everything we needed. Air conditioner was strong, which was good because it was nearly 100-degrees F while we were there!

This hotel should be rated 4 stars instead of 3. Me, my sister and parents stayed at this gem and we loved the experience. From the staff to the rooms, it is a lovely place to stay. Because i was traveling with my parents who are in their 80’s, we were originally assigned a room at their next door building which had stairs to go into the room. This was an issue because my parents are old and would rather not climb stairs. When we brought this issue to the front desk, the manager right away assigned us a room in the main building. Needless to say the room was fantastic. We stayed for a week but we would have stayed longer. The staff is very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very well sorted and with lots of options. The room was impecable and very roomy to accommodate four adults. I also have to mention that this little gem is in an excellent location with walking distance to the train/bus station and old town. The area is residential and very quiet. Highly recommend this hotel. It is a small boutique hotel with lots of character. Thank you Hotel Italia for making our experience a fabulous one!

location is excellent: easy to reach, lots of free parking around, conveniently placed 10 minutes' walk from city gate: you can visit the whole city centre without ever needing to move the car. Service is always smiling, helpful and forthcoming. Breakfast is varied and good quality. Room is a good size, a little old fashion perhaps. Mattress a bit hard for me, but that can be a plus for others, it's entirely a matter of taste.
on the whole I entirely enjoyed my stay.

This is the nicest hotel we had stayed during this 17-day trip of the 8 hotels we booked from south to central to north Italy. Came with a huge buffet breakfast. The cherry pie was very delicious. Had a full plate of crispy thin sliced bacon. That breakfast at 7am lasted me till dinner time at 6pm! Very good room prices too. Close to Siena train station via a series of escalators in the mall nearby.

My wife and I recently spent 4 nights at Hotel Italia. We were impressed by the location of the Hotel, Central to both the city as well as to day trips around Tuscany. The hotel was great, the room wonderful cozy and warm for the cold nights. the staff were exceptional and very accommodating, even making us coffee and pouring us a glass of wine when requested. The breakfast was great.
I really can't say enough great things about Hotel Italia.
I highly recommend it .
And watch on their site the great the wonderful videos they made about the hotel.

We stayed here over Easter weekend to escape Rome after a busy week of travel, to visit Siena and to relax.

As per another review, we chose the exectutive room and it was fantastic. Everything is new, clean and comfortable. The bed was firm and comfortable. The bathroom was neat and felt luxurious. We were on the 3rd floor and appreciated having a window not staring onto another wall! We also took advantage of the lobby to play cards on a few occasions.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. You can leave your keys at the front desk when heading out and someone is there 24/7 to hand them back to you when you return.

The included breakfast was very nice, including fruits, protein (scrambled eggs + some meat protein like bacon or hotdog wieners), various pastries (sweet and not), yoghurt, cereal and granlola. They had a blood orange juice and a carrot + orange juice both of which were nice and and a fancy coffee machine that does just about whatever you want at the touch of a button.

Highly recommend!

Goodmorning from Hotel Italia, you can reserve a spot inside our little private parking for 10.00€ per night, or for free you have 2 solutions: once is along the back street of the Hotel, Viale Mameli, a residencial area; the other option is to leave the car at our 4 star hotel, the Hotel Garden, 600mt far from us.
