This was my second time staying in this lovely hotel with character for four nights. The suite Panoramic has a decent size with a huge desk, is bright due to lots of windows and tall ceilings, very clean, with funky design and includes Dyson ventilators. The shower is separated from the rest of the room via a glass wall. Therefore this room may best be suited for solo travelers or couples. Service was fantastic, from check-in to breakfast, printing out bus schedules to check-out with a personal touch. Reception closes in the evenings and therefore you let yourself in via a set of keys. It’s a great place for independent travelers, who do not need a concierge 24/7.

Very good location. There is a neighborhood feel to the place. The breakfast is basic. No kitchen so they don't cook eggs as an option. I don't eat hard boiled eggs that are sitting all morning on the table. If you come at the last hour, they aren't interested in replenishing. It's the "snooze you lose" attitude. The coffee is mediocre when it comes from the machine with coffee pods. And It is awful if you get it from the machine that looks like it's from an American diner/Waffle House (aka Bunn machine). Also, there is no true concierge. I had to brainstorm myself about how to get my suddenly handicapped companion on & off a train for our departure. FYI there is free wheelchair service w/porter at the train station in Florence & it is only 25euros p/p to sit in the Freccia Lounge. At the hotel, there is no staff after 8pm.
Lastly, this viewing window in bedroom/bath is dumb (see photo). Is this Las Vegas?
As a positive, the housekeeper was very friendly. She was the best! The rooms were very quiet.

Thank you Lana for the words of appreciation about the great location, the quality of sleep and our housekeeper! Our Art Hotel with only 9 rooms all different from each other, has a room for every taste, perhaps to the modernity of our junior suite, you would have appreciated more our Panoramic Top View Suite. We are always ready to give advice when making a reservation, although already the photos and room descriptions can give you enough of an overview to choose the best accommodation for everyone. We were pleased to welcome you for breakfast even after 11 a.m., and to offer you our branded coffee, we always ask guests arriving last if they would like more fruit cut, or if they would like us to slice the 0-km cold cuts we offer and so on. We continually refresh the buffet because all our products are fresh and not industrial, nor do we recycle products from the previous day, and hard-boiled eggs are replaced every 10 minutes to ensure their integrity. We were also happy to offer you all the assistance we could give you, especially given the unfortunate event that preceded your arrival with us. Even though we are not welfare office, nor a tourism office or a travel agency, you just need to ask to get all the help we can give and more. It is our mission, because we love our city and knowing all the potential that our territory can offer, it is a huge pleasure for us to make those who stay with us appreciate them. Alas, we were not aware of a service for disabled people in Florence, nor could we have ever thought that it would be right for you, but when you asked us to book it for you, we did so with great pleasure. Whether it's called concierge service or just kindness, our staff is always ready to do their best for the guests they love to pamper, in the hope that they take home a beautiful memory of Siena and the Palazzetto Rosso.

We had a perfect stay at Hotel Palazzetto Rosso. The staff were all very helpful and wonderful. The room was beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and the 'honor' bar at night was very fun. If you rent a car to explore the surrounding areas the parking is VERY easy and organized. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Siena area.

A gorgeous medieval castle converted to a hotel. The location is great because it is in the middle of the city but not on a crowded street. Walking distance to all the attractions. The rooms are very spacious and decorated in modern furniture. The staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful. They started responding to my emails even before I got there and helped me find cooking class, restaurants, wineries etc.

The location was fantastic - right in the heart of the city but down a quiet side street away from the throng of tourists. Perfect!!!
The ladies who run the place (Sylvia, Angela and Hilaria) are simply amazing…they greet you every morning and are so friendly and helpful! In fact, I don’t think I’ve stayed anywhere where the hotel managers are so lovely.
The hotel itself is stunning and full of history. The breakfast was delicious and lots of choice with fresh fruits, pastries, hams, cheeses fresh coffee, tea and juices! If I could have rated the hotel higher than a ten, I would have done! Thank you for a perfect stay!!! Xxx

A marvelous 13th century small palace (thoughtfully renovated but not lacking old world charm) with great views from our suite and modern, comfortable furnishings, a perfect bathroom including a bathtub with a view no less. Throw in a great staff (TY, Patricia!), a delicious breakfast, a perfect location only 7 minutes from the main plaza/campo and a 10 minute taxi from the train station, and you have a remarkable and unique place to stay in this beautiful, historic, and medieval city in the heart of Tuscany. Highly recommended.

Palazzetto Rosso advertises itself as a luxury hotel with all typical amenities but the bathrooms do not have showers which for such a high cost would be expected. They do have a 6’ x 6’ window with no curtain opening from the bath to the bedroom. These features are so unique that they should be disclosed on the website. The AC does not seem to work. All of these faults might be expected in a cheap place but not at the high rates they charge. The deficiencies are not required by the space or other constraints. It was simply bad design.

We had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Palazetto Rosso for 5 nights. The public rooms in the building and the hotels rooms themselves are very well designed and incredibly comfortable for a 5 night stay. We sincerely appreciated all of the modern conveniences set in a Palazzo-style building. Most of all - we appreciated the kindness and service of the AMAZING staff - Angela, Demetra, Claudio, and all of the other staff members went above and beyond to make our stay a great one. Definitely one of the best boutique hotels we've stayed in across our travels.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous...the room we stayed in called "Design" was beyond our expectations with the high frescoed ceilings and the contrasting contemporary design. The bed was very comfortable as well. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Siena and wants a taste of history in their hotel experience with the comforts expected of a top hotel. Would definitely stay again! Staff was also extremely polite and helpful. Location couldn't be beat either..on a quieter street of Siena but steps from the main street with all the big shops.

Wonderful stay in the center of Siena in an outstanding old palazzo.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and our room was big and had high ceilings - the bathroom an excellent combination of modern design and old structures. The building is very old and charmful with old stairs leading up - but there is also a elevator.
