If you're arriving by car, the hotel is a short walk up the hill from the Piazza 40 Martiri, where you can park short-term (you won't want to drive in the "vertical" part of town). Free longer-term parking is available at the Teatro Romano, some...More
Position is very good right next to city center. Perfect for going out and no need for a car.
Quite clean but not exceptionally. Breakfast quite poor in choice and variety. Scramble eggs are served cold. No real bread available no real jam. In the...More

_ the morning of his stay we had a real problem with the boiler, why should not we supply water to our guests? His remark seems to me rather absurd and unjust. We have solved the problem with the technicians who were promptly...More
Hotel is well located for exploring Gubbio and easy to reach from the bus stop. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful and had loads of suggestions for things to do, places to eat and local shops. I had a superior room (made cautious as...More
Couldn't be better to explore the city, right in the heart of all the action & yet quiet. Our room 390 was both on the top floor & at the end - so well placed.

I only stayed one night and found the location perfect, close to the main bus stop (I came from Perugia), located on the lower area of the town so easy to get to, no stairs to climb. Staff were lovely, breakfast great. There is also...More

Hi: the hotel is in the centre of town, the layout of very narrow streets is not very car friendly: we hired a Smart car and even that felt like a big car. There is room for about 4 small cars at the front of the hotel but to be fair to other guests this is best used as drop off (saying that, there was one car permenantly there during our visit). The best option is to use the plentiful free parking at the Roman amphitheater which is a 10 minute stroll through town. We decided that the efforts to run the gauntlet of the narrow streets was too traumatic. Gubbio is just wonderful though. Have a great time.

When I stayed in September I could not detect any smoke in the hotel. I did manage to make contact, with a prompt response, by email with the hotel so that might be worth asking. I parked at the Roman Theatre which is free of charge and is about 400 metres away from the Hotel which seemed safe enough to me. The nearby restaurant Officina dei Sapori, which I think is run by the hotel, is very good especially as you get a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, a good quantity of bread and biscotti + when I was there customers of the hotel got a 10% discount if you pick up a business card at the hotel reception. Food was of a high standard, mostly meat dishes, and a sensible price. The coffee surprise dessert is memorable. Wines very good too. The way they decant the bottle of red wine is a unique experience. Hope you have a good trip!
