This hotel is ideal if you have a car. It is far away from city center and the Train Station, specially with bad weather. The hotel is modern, clean and the staff is very helpful. Breakfast was included in the room price and it was very good.

The attention to detail catches your eye immediately. We stayed in the 'Wine Area' part of the hotel and the room was beautifully decorated. The hotel is immaculate, the food in the restaurant is delicious and the breakfast offers a fantastic choice.Good location, lovely staff.

This is a huge and very oddly laid out hotel that has a corridor of piano notes running under the road between two sites. Our family group had three rooms in I think the Wine area. All were well sized with a large bed but very old fashioned. In the bathroom there was only a hand-held shower attachment rather than... More

The rooms are great, the location is not. The food is excellent (at least at breakfast and dinner), the layout is bizarre. The staff are friendly, and the place kind of a weird conglomeration. I was here for a conference and events seem to be there thing. Probably great for events, it was for mine, but I can't really picture... More

Had high hopes for this hotel after reading reviews but was left disappointed overall by several aspects. Firstly, the hotel appears to mainly cater for hosting conferences/meetings and as a couple on holiday we didn't feel welcomed at check-in, simply given our room key and told what floor it was on and where the lifts were. No information about our... More

This hotel is awesome! It's divided into 2 sections: "wine" and "jazz", which means the rooms were thus themed. We had "wine" rooms, and they were fabulous! The decor, the facilities, were all top-notch. The rooms were huge, more like suites, and had balconies.

This is our third time at Hotel Gio, and on each occasion we have been pleased. The staff have been very attentive and assisted me with my specific plans. I have been impressed with the levels of service, which are comparable to 4 and 5 star hotels in which I have previously stayed. I definitely recommend Hotel Gio.

The hotel was in need of some tender loving care. In my opinion too much emphasis on the theme of the hotel, rather than more important things such as interaction with guests and the decor of the rooms. On arrival, the receptionist showed very little interest in us as guests. We did arrive at a busy time with an ongoing... More

Very nice hotel, good size rooms, good mattress, rich breakfast, walking distance to the Old City (very steep hill though) and close public transportation for those who don't feel like walking.Loved the jazz theme which is nicely presented. We were there for the Umbria jazz festival and it was just tight!
