We have stayed here before and our first experience was better than this last one. although we would return for many reasons. We realise this is a personal small accommodation so we understand why things may not have been as good this time around. The Swedish lady that has greeted us on both visits is lovely and super helpful, but...

I was surprised by the beauty of the hotel and the comfort of the room. We arrived before the time and we were able to check in. The hotel consists of several rooms and even though it is not full of guests, they were all available and with the fireplace access. We were able to enjoy a delicious coffee in...

Staff was very amenable and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and exactly what I would want from a castle hotel. WE stayed in seperate rooms and my daughter's had...

We stayed here one night on our way from Milan to Rome and loved it. Our room had it's own private area with a table, my husband smokes so this worked well for him. The staff was very nice and the photos I got were beautiful. The castle overlooks a small valley and the town on the horizon makes for...

Dear Krista S, thanks a lot for your visit and for reviewing the castle as "beautiful place". We are happy to know that your experience has been positive. I was looking for a great place to stay for our first 7 days in the Umbria region. We brought our own bikes and needed certain facilities to set up and store the bikes as well as enjoying the pool facilities after the bike rides. Castello di Monterone was everything we were looking for and more. The staff was extremely...

This hotel ,a renovated castle, is situated outside of the historical part of Perugia. You need either a car , hire a taxi or you must be willing to walk for about 30 min to get to the old town. This not a problem except that the first hundred meters or so are on a busy road. This distance you...

We spent two nights in this beautiful castle. Upon arrival it is breathtaking, we approached it from the right and you don't really see it until you are right on top of it.
