I spent some nights here for business meetings. Inside the old city, you can walk around and enjoy the medieval side of Basel. Good service, efficient, very nice breakfast. Rooms are not big but everything is well organized in the room. Only thing : if you want to work or have dinner in your room, space to do it is...

The hotel is very good and has a great location. The staff is very nice. The breakfast is not large and the space where it is served looks like a place they adapted and not a room for meals. That part should be improved.

This delightful hotel is about a half block from the Rhine River and sits on a street that parallels the river in Basel. The center of town (Marktplatz) and loads of shopping are just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is about 50 meters from a tram stop and it is close to the river cruise docks....

We spent two nights here to see the sights of Basel before leaving on a Viking River Cruise. The location is terrific being very close to Old Town and the shopping districts as well as the departure point for the river cruise. Easy tram ride from either train station but as mentioned in another review, you can walk right by...

We will not go there again and we did stay quite a bit in 2015/2016, as it was a good place for a night in Basel. we got charged 3 times for the same stay. We spent one night, normal that we paid, we got reimbursed for the second charge. Till then all good, these things happened. However shortly after...

Whilst it took a couple of drive-bys to realise that the building that we were looking at was the hotel, as the signage is black writing on black glass, we were very happy with Hotel D. The rooms are spacious and very modern and the staff were very helpful. The hotel gave us a tram pass for the length of...

It was close to the tram/bus, restaurants. And very close to the Rhine River, Old Town and the Marktplatz.

We booked a 3 night stay with friends prior to catching a Rhine cruise and were very pleased with Hotel D. American travelers tend to have different expectations so understand this is Europe modern boutique hotel in every sense of the word.
