We enjoyed our stay at Gaia Hotel very much! The location is very good, just next to the main station but still quiet. You can walk in about 15min to the city centre but there are also plenty of tram connections available – the hotel provided us even with a free pass for public transport during our stay. If you...

It's my first time stayed in this GAIA hotel even I traveled to Basel very often. And this will be my favorite hotel in Basel. The hotel location is very convenience for walking from Basel SBB and it's very close to COOP. The staffs were very friendly and full of smiley service mind. The room was small but fulfilled with...

The GAIA could not be better located. The room accommodations are comfortable and luxurious with many nice little touches, whether in the mini-bar or the excellent towels and choice of sleeping pillows. Great breakfast. The staff is friendly and attentive with the utmost concern for customer satisfaction. When is Basel, there is no place I would prefer to stay.

Very well located, lovely staff and great breakfast! There was also good attention to detail and nice chocolates at reception. There is a cosy room to have a drink in too. It is right by the station for those travelling elsewhere and 20mins on the bus from the airport.

I would recommend the Gaia for all - close to the train station, the rooms are very very clean and comfortable, the hotel has great decor and charm. Full breakfast and specialty coffees, staff is friendly and very accommodating.

Can't say enough positive things about my stay-hepfuk staff, great decor and rooms, and the breakfast and mini bar are I closed with the price. It's location is excellent and right across from the SBB train hub, which will essentially get you anywhere in the country or city. Best of all, the internet is good for a European hotel-connects and...

Stayed her whilst on business in Basel, a great location and not too bad to find even in a hire car. There is a carpark very close by called Centralbahn and at first can seem expensive but if you pay for your parking at the hotel they offer you 24 hrs for 25 sfr which is pretty reasonable but make...

This part of town is replete with charmless corporate-style hotels, many of which have seen better days. Not so the Gaia. This is a small, very modern hotel, although the building itself is a very well-kept historical one, typical of Basel architecture. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and my room - albeit a little on the small side - was...

Personnel is very nice in welcoming and supporting your requests. Room is comfortable. Unfortunately there is no restaurant but there are several options for dining in the area around the hotel. The hotel doesn't have a parking but has an agreement with a car park nearby.

Lovely bright, comfortable and airy room. Updated sparkling bathroom. Delicious breakfast included. Friendly and efficient staff that go out of their way to make one feel welcome and at home. We very highly recommend the Gaia Hotel as THE place to stay while visiting Basel.
