We arrived on a Monday, when the hotel basically is closed (Sunday as well). You get your keys from a coded box. Our rooms faced a busy road, and, with no air-conditioning, meant open windows and road noise. There was no refrigerator in the room. The beds were small but comfortable, as was the pillow. The shower was nice.

Breakfast was good though minimal, mostly cold items such as bread, meats, cheeses, croissants, yogurt, etc. The coffee is great.

Parking was ample and free. Service was friendly and accommodating.

There is nothing in the near vicinity and Luzern is far away, so if you are planning on visiting Luzern you should book another hotel. You can use mass transit, but it will take you awhile to get into the city.

The hotel is very average as compared to its price. The breakfast has very limited spread and if you reach after 9 then hardly anything will be there to choose from. So you need to ask staff to refill again . This kind of situation could have been avoided by the hotel. Also we were asked to sit on the specific tables only as other tables are reaerved for dinner . What a weird stuff .. 9 in morning they are making arrangements for dinner .. Stupid stuff which i hated the most.. Last thing, the hotel is right on the highway so there is quite a lot of noise in the rooms from the traffic..

The person on front desk was very friendly and helpful and offer to us free train tickets to city. The hotel has spacious room, clean and tidy, but our room doesn’t have an air conditioner only a fan on the table which I believe should be a big problem on hot days. The road in front of the hotel sometimes is very busy and noise, so you should ask for rooms facing the back side. They offer a basic breakfast but fresh fruits and cereals it’s all that we needed. They have a good parking area for free. There is also a restaurant on the premises.

This is a family run hotel. The staff are very friendly, the owner offered us free rail tickets to Lucerne and was very informative. The room we had was very comfortable and clean. We ate in the restaurant, the food was excellent, the staff were great and the whole experience was a positive one. We would happily stay here again.

Great location though away from Lucerne city but very well connected by bus and train. Nice property with good rooms and great service. We had difficulty finding the place but the owners were very nice and kind to pick us up from the bus stop. Breakfast had a decent spread with eggs, breads, cheese, fruits and yoghurt.

We were driving from Luxembourg to Lucerne on our way to Pisa so we were not too bothered that the hotel is outside the city centre - in fact it is located in a beautiful agricultural area surrounded by green fields and hills. We even had horses look into our window in the morning. The hotel is excellent, staff spoke adequate English and the restaurant was great. The price is notably lower than hotels in the centre of town and it comes with free parking right next to the hotel. I think we made an excellent choice. The next morning we drove into town, parked centrally in an underground car park, toured the town and cruised the lake and drove on to our next destination.

The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, the bed is good and bathroom facilities are up to the mark. The only disadvantage was that the reception was not manned on Sunday, and the restaurant is closed on Sundays, so there was no chance to get even a glass of tea or wine in the evening.
Our room faced the road so it was quite loud when the window was open.

Situated a long way out of town, in an area that proved to be very inaccessible due to road works. On arrival we were told that the restaurant was closed because it was a bank holiday, despite not having mentioned this on the website when the hotel was booked. The photo was obviously taken at night to hide the surrounding area.
Inside the room was fine, but the door handle came off.
Shower good and breakfast fine, no dinner to compare with.
The city of Lucerne was lovely, well worth a visit but I would stay somewhere else.
The main reason that we booked this hotel was for the restaurant so that we did not have to travel after a very long drive.

Choose this hotel primary due to price and close proximity to lucern without having to sell a kidney.
5 mins walk from train station takes another 5-10 mins to get into the central station which was excellent. Check in guy was helpful. Hotel has ample parking. Also. Has a reastuarant which we did not use.
Now the bad points
Breakfast very sparse
Maid burst in by error x2 in the morning. Yep thats right
No ac in the room we were staying in. Now in the summer when we stayed this resulted in zero sleep. Even with the window wide open it wasnt fun. Its on a main road with a lot of trucks throughout the night so with window wide open equals lots of road noise. Noone mans reception after 11pm so no one to ask if you need something e.g a fan.
We had a very poor experience here and would not stay again.

Just one stop away from fantastic Luzern in Switzerland by train. This hotel in the village of Litau is very modern clean and comfortable.
The room was huge with two comfortable beds and a very modern bathroom with a fantastic power shower. The views of the mountains out of the window were a great bonus. All areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and very modern (the lights came on automatic as you passed from room to room)
A buffet continental breakfast was included in the price, a good selection of cereal, hams and cheeses on offer plus, juice, various breads and coffee.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel also has a resturant (which we didn't use due to not getting back each night until midnight) and a bar.
Located just 5 minutes level walk from Littau railway station which has an hourly service (half hourly peak times) from Luzern and only takes five minutes. Trains run from 0530-0013.
You can come and go as you please having been given a door card for access at all hours.
We had a lovely stay. If you want to visit the fantatic area of Luzern in Switzerland, want a good hotel but not at over the top prices, I would highly recomend this hotel. The only downside being that its located on a busyish road which if you are a light sleeper may cause problems, however most hotels are and its something you get used to.
Yes its not in Luzern its self, but the price reflects this, the trains run a great service early to late and only take 5 minutes.
Would definately stay here again
