interior needs some upgrading but then again, when in Luzern, why stay indoors?

PARKING BY THE HOTEL: The Hotel MONOPOL Lucerne and Hotel ALPINA Lucerne has a courtyard (locked during the night) with limited parking spaces for CHF 25.00 per parking space/ per night. The entrance to the courtyard is located in the Frankenstrasse 2-4 between Hotel MONOPOL and Hotel ALPINA. Please reserve the parking space along with the hotel room, as there are limited parking spaces.
Right in front of our Hotel MONOPOL Lucerne, also for guests for ALPINA Lucerne, is the large Train Station Parking P1 (Bahnhofplatz 1, Lucerne). Attention: Guests arriving in car take the Zentralsstrasse, Lucerne direction Bahnhofplatz 1, Lucerne. We have Special Tickets for just CHF 25.- per night.
A cheaper alternative for parking would be in the White Zone (white marked parking fields) in and around the city of Lucerne. Hotel guests can purchase a Parking Permit at reception for CHF 15.00 and is valid for 24 hours. With this permit, guests must go out and find a parking space for themselves. We cannot guarantee a parking place with this method.
