This very nice hotel has a perfect location. In the old town only a few walks away from the river, where you have lots of beautiful ancient buildings and lots of good restaurants. Also lots of shopping possibilities. The bed is very comfortable and large. I am a bad sleeper, but in this bed I slept like a rose. What you need to know is that the reception sends you an email with a code, so you can check-in into your room when there is nobody at the reception desk. Unfortunately we had not seen this email because we have no roaming and had switched off our mobile phones. Luckily, we found someone from the staff in the building and they helped us to the room. Tip: I don't know if this email can be sent a day earlier to the guests? Then we would have read it when we were in Italy where we do have roaming. Other than that very nice and quiet stay. I forgot my earrings, and the staff made sure they were sent to my homeland. I even received chocolates with the letter! Therefore many thanks and a rating of 5 stars for this hotel.

Amazing location right in the heart of Lucerne and close to Chapel Bridge. Beautiful decor and lovely comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful. May be some noise with people walking in street below as can echo but nothing that disturbed our stay

This was a very convenient with newly upgraded decor hotel. Beds were very comfortable. A plus to have a Nespresso machine. The Chinese restaurant they recommended had great authentic Chinese food. Shower had instant hot water. We love the hotel.

Best position, 30 seconds walk from Capel Bridge. And the famous city hall brewery is in front of the hotel because of rain. Most importantly, the location is the best. But the room is very small. It's really small. 위치는 정말 최고입니다.카펠교가 도보 15미터 아침산책하기 정말좋고요 호텔바로 앞에 유명한 시청양조장이있어요.최고의 생맥주를 먹을수있어요.

This hotel is decorated very cute. It is right in the heart of Old Town Luzern. Within walking distance of many restaurants, the Chapel Bridge and downtown shops. A small Keurig style coffee pot was in the room. Breakfast is not included in the stay. There is a restaurant inside the hotel. It is comfortable and clean. Our bathroom was super tiny. We are small, but if we were larger people I do not know how you would squeeze through the shower doors.

Dear ReddingNorCalGal thank you so much for your nice review. We would like to have bigger rooms but since we are a historical building there is no way to enlargen the sice of our rooms. But you can think about, that there have been people in this hotel since 1495 even some dukes from foreign countries! hope seeing you again greetings from lucerne

We were greeted with a cosy looking room, huge bed and rather spacious, in our opinion. After having visited several accomodations from Italy to Switzerland during our trip, this has to be the most unpleasant and disappointing experience! Fine if there is no air-conditioning, but the ceiling fan doesnt serve any purpose at all, being very weak regardless the speed you adjust to. There are restaurants just below the street and it can be very noisy during meal hours. Had to wait till after 11pm when the Italian restaurant closes before some peace and quiet. Also had some issues with falling asleep because it was warm and stuffy. At 2 or 3am, there were people yelling and shouting and thereafter church bells will ring every hour. Refrigerator is weak too, we had food like milk with us and not cold at all. There are tea bags provided but no kettle for boiling water?? We shared our feedback to Michael, the friendly reception staff and he apologized and said that they will look into all these issues. Only consolation is that the hotel is in a prime location.

The hotel was nice in the busy old-town of Luzern. Our check-in was very good. In the warm weather, the hotel will get very hot. There is no air-conditioning and the windows provided no air flow. When we turned on the ceiling fan, clumps of dust flew across the room because it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Because of the location near so many restaurants and along the river, there are a lot of people outside. The rooms can be quite noisy when the windows are open. Although you can drive up to the hotel to check-in, I would recommend parking at the train station and walking your luggage if possible. The streets are quite narrow and have heavy pedestrian traffic.

We stayed here for 2 nights in Lucerne. A great choice! I had communicated with the hotel via email in advance, and they were very responsive. NOTE: The hotel is located in an area that is a no-car-zone. The website states you can be dropped off, but our driver would not do it, so we ended up schlepping our luggage several blocks over cobblestones. When we arrived around 11am on a Wednesday our rooms were ready (thankfully!) so we were able to take the luggage up, freshen up a bit and head out to find lunch. The hotel is located literally 1/2 block up from the river. A perfect location near all the restaurants on the riverside with a view and tables outside. You can easily walk from the hotel to the train station, both famous bridges, and shops all over old town. We booked a Superior Double Room on the 4th floor. There is an elevator. The room had a king bed, a desk with chair, and another comfy chair. We had a corner room, so plenty of windows. The bathroom is tiny! Decent closet with a safe and a small fridge with free water and a few creamers. There is NO air conditioning, but we were able to open the windows for a fairly good cross-breeze, and the overhead fan is efficient and quiet. There is street noise until about 10 - 11pm. We could hear the restaurants putting the tables/chairs up for the night, but after that slept quite well. When we had the windows closed there was minimal noise. Bed was comfy. Like many European hotels, they don't have a top sheet - only a comforter. (too hot for warmer weather with no a/c). I suggest using the blanket from the closet, or asking for another sheet if that would be a problem. The restaurant attached to the hotel is Italian. The pizza and salad were great! And good wine and beer choices. A bit expensive (as is everything in Switzerland), but filling and tasty (and convenient). The breakfast is at a nearby hotel and was very good. It is not included, but had a great menu and good coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful! We would definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel, very well located centrally in Lucerne within a few steps from the Chapel Bridge. It is in a beautiful part of the town. Our room was a little on the small side, but very comfortable: good comfy bed, nice shower room. We were made very welcome. This is a perfect base for a sightseeing visit to Lucerne and we would recommend it highly. Special mention for the lovely coffee machine :-) Could the hotel confirm the brand of coffee supplied? We would love to get some to use at home. A superb stay.

What an amazing hotel! My stay was Superb. The hotel facilities were great, room fully equipped. The bed was super comfortable, actually the entire room was very cozy, nicely decorated, very well cleaned, all properly disinfected, the fig shower gel is amazing. The location, I couldn’t have asked for a better location, it is in the middle of the old town, you walk outside the hotel and the lake is on the right hand side right in-front of you. The staff were super nice, friendly, smiling and helpful and I mean all of them, including the kitchen staff. Breakfast is nicely done and very fresh as well. I have nothing negative to say about the hotel, I was well treated there, the receptionist saw how tired I was after a long drive from Lugano and she was very patient with us. I definitely stay here again next time.
