What a lovely place in Lucerne. Not far from the station. Easy connectivity by the tram/bus. No great view but very clean, comfortable rooms. The balcony is bonus. Two supermarkets close by in addition to a small Indian store next door. Great Pizzerias and a small watering hole across the road. Everything you can ask for.
P.s. no kettle in room. Pick up hot water flasks from the reception and take them to your room.
Excellent breakfast. Efficient, well informed and really friendly staff. Well done Drei Konige.

We absolutely adored our time at this hotel, and I would definitely recommend it, especially due to the cheaper price in comparison to other hotels in Lucerne.
We stayed in room 311, and it was exactly like the photos and what we expected. Very clean and staff are really nice (they even gave us a little lucky stone on check out!)

Breakfast was open from 6 am till 10 am, which was perfect for us as we had to get up earlier for our flight home. It consisted of scrambled egg, bacon, and sausages, as well as having a range of cereals such as cornflakes and bread with a toaster. Plenty of drinks - orange juice and apple juice - as well as a range of hot drinks. WiFi was also great and worked well however, we did have to reconnect each time we left the hotel and came back, but this wasn't an issue for us.

This was the perfect stay for us for our 4 nights in Switzerland as we used Lucerne as a base city whilst exploring other places that were all a train journey away. Hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the train station and maybe around 10 minutes or a bit less depending on how fast you walk from the main shopping strip.

Only problem I had was I found it difficult to wash my hair as there was no moveable shower head to get the shampoo out my hair😂 other than that everything was perfect and we loved our stay in Switzerland!🥰

We stayed here for 3 nights in December. We had stayed in Luzern before so we were attracted to this hotel primarily by the room rate that also included breakfast. It seemed good value. Some recent reviews had been variable so there was always some concern there would be a catch, but those concerns proved unfounded. Our room was spacious by Luzern standards, the bed was clean and comfortable, temperature was just right, bathroom was clean and modern and included a bath. Oh, our room also had a small balcony that overlooked the street to the front of the property. The staff were friendly and efficient, in our experience, and the breakfast included a good range of hot and cold items. Bread and croissants were fresh. Coffee was very good. There was even champagne on the breakfast buffet.

Minus points? The main one is the absence of tea/coffee facilities on the room, however for the rate we paid, in that town, at that time of year, we couldn’t complain.

We would stay there again.

Basic but very clean 3* hotel, well situated with a great breakfast included. We had a triple room. Nice sized bathroom, good linens and pillows and breakfast even had sparkling wine in case you wanted a mimosa. Friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again.

The welcome from the receptionist was great. The hotel was clean and well looked after. This is exactly what you want from a solid 3 star hotel. The whole room was clean and looked recently renovated. The bathroom was super clean including the grout in the shower. The little balconies from the roof were great. The bed was comfortable, including the pillows. Breakfast was a simple buffet, but for the price of the hotel it was unexpected and enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Luzern on a budget. The perfect little hotel.

I am on my last night here and I thought I would share my thoughts:

1. Absolutely outstanding check in process. We got here considerably early and requested and early check in after a fun, but tiring river trip. I've traveled enough to know that early check in is not always available, but we were in our room less than 30 minutes after arrival

2. Janine at the front desk is an angel! She explained the area to us and pointed out the best eating places. I don't care what she is getting paid...it isn't enough.

3. Very nice rooms that were quite roomy based on European standards. Our windows opened out over the town with scenic views in both directions.

4. Air conditioning! This is a must for this southern boy! It worked but with both windows open it was rarely needed.

5. Internet. Internet was bit wonky. If you did not use your phone for more than a minute, it dropped you off and required to re log in.

6. Breakfast. Excellent! A large selection of breakfast items from eggs, bacon, sausage, turkey breast, cheese and baked goods.

My wife and I feel that this hotel went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Again, Janine was the one we interacted with most and was very pleased by that interaction. I can recommend them with no hesitation.

Wonderful stay here in April 2023. We had a room on the very top floor with a lovely view out of the attic window. It was very quiet, spacious and a fabulous way to stay our European holiday. The free buffet breakfast had lots of choices and filled us up for most of the day.

It is about a 15 minute walk from the main train station and visitor information centre, but there is a bus that will get you most of the way (which we only discovered the day after our arrival). A huge bonus was a pass we were given on check-in that allowed us free travel on local public transport, plus discounted entry to various local attractions. (I think this pass is given to all guests checking into local hotels).

Great buffet breakfast. In good location. Rooms very small though ( even though booked large room) ie had to climb over backpacks to get to bed. Room not very airy/light. Air con and heater didn’t work. No capacity to get replacement stock. Ie when run out of tissues had to wait for cleaners to replace although asked at reception. Very disappointing…. And also an additional nightly city tax and tourist tax per person

We stayed at Drei Konige for 2 nights. The hotel is absolutely recommended. The hotel staff is kind and is ready to provide the guest with any sort of information regarding the city. The receptionist who checked us in was very kind and accommodating. The breakfast was pretty elaborate as compared with the rest of the hotels in Switzerland. Initially, there was a leakage in room 310 but they later fixed it. The Wi-Fi that was provided by the hotel was not as good and had very limited connectivity. The room was good and was not as small as the rest of the hotels we stayed in, in Switzerland. Overall, it's a really good hotel and is recommended for anyone who is looking for a hotel just for the night and is planning to tour the city during the day.

I don’t know about laundry facilities. The train station is fairly close. Maybe a five minute bus ride to the central station.
