My sister and I stayed here for a week in August/September 2009. It's in the heart of Lucerne, which is a jump off point to the Alps. The staff is friendly, and the rooms are okay. Not dirty per se, but improvement is needed and they can be smoky as the landings on the floors are designated smoking areas. So...

Stayed here for two nights, wish I would've paid more for a nicer place. The previous reviews convinced me to book a room, but I was greatly disappointed. The bed was horrible, lumpy mattress, stained sheets, and I had to keep the bathroom door closed because it smelled like stagnant water. While the location is great - close to everything!...

This little pension is clean and in a great central location, but set back from the noise. It was pricey but I guess that's what you get for staying in Lucerne. We didn't bother with breakfast as at 20 chf each, thought it a bit expensive. The beds were comfy and there was a tv, hairdryer and mini bar/fridge which were...

I spent one night here during a multi-city trip to Europe, and am so glad I did. Lucerne is such a beautiful little town, and this little inn is tucked right in the middle of it. It's not the most glamorous place to stay; some of the furniture in our room felt like hand-me-downs from other hotels or people's homes....

This is a hotel pension not a hotel so obviously the standards are differnet. It is located in a relatively busy alleyway in lucern about 300 meters from the train station. There are a number of shops and restaurants close by with a nice view of the water within 2-3 minutes walking distance. Service was lackluster - we waited nearly...

When we arrived at the Hotel Rosli, the front desk clerk (which was polite to us) told us that they had upgraded us to stay at the main hotel. The room was small but adequate and comfortable. The room was right beside the small elevator but the noise was not a problem. Breakfast was not included so we went to...

Four of us stayed at this hotel (two rooms). The rooms are clean and comfortable and actually roomy by European standards. It is quiet and just across the river from the old town. The price is hard to beat for this city, especially for the close-in location. It's a reasonable walk from the train station/boat docks or you can take...

Great little pension so close to everything in Lucerne. The staff were very friendly and helpful particularly with a train trip we were doing to Berlin. They gave us very useful advice on storing one of bags at the train station while we were in Germany for three nights. The pension is extremely clean and comfortable but not luxurious. More...

My Swiss trip is full of good memories barring the Reception incident with this hotel when I checked in. I got the hotel booked through email. The person at reception of Hotel Baslertor where we need to check in for this hotel never smiled. He speaked heavily accented and low. He never smiled and was having a cold angry face...

The Pension is not perfect but for the price it is impossible to beat the location. In the old section of Luzern less than 40 yards from the river. Easy to reach from the train station. The rooms are solid and clean with excellent down comforters and private bathrooms with showers. The only problem I've seen was one room with a...
