Great place, good location with bus stop close. Few stops to old town. Also handynif you taking bus to Mt Pilatus. Rooms were nice, pillows probably too soft. While there are shutters, room does not have blackout curtains so was bit bright for our liking. Breakfast was very basic and for the price, one would expect more variety. There were no pastries. And very limited cheese, ham etc to choose from.

The rooms had inside temperature of 32 degrees plus and the host didn’t attend our request to provide an extra fan as it was extremely suffocating and hot and unbearably uncomfortable. I am asthmatic and it was so hard to stay in a room which is so hot! So we all had to sleep on the floor in the other room which had a slow working and cheap air conditioning which worked but was not very efficient. We had to make our own beds in the second room and sleep with uncovered pillows and uncovered covers! But as we had been driving for 12 hours we had no choice other than to stay in one room as a family of four and sleep on the floor with our kids! Our emails and requests to help were ignored and replied to only at 6am the next morning. When we finally spoke to the host during break time she was arrogant and rude and still charged us full for both the rooms when we could not use the second room. She has an attitude and rude manner and very intimidating behaviour! So apology, no curtesy to say I won’t charge for the second room ! Absolutely disgusted by her behaviour and despite it was 40 degrees outside and 32 plus in the rooms there was no drinking water in the rooms Would never recommend this place .she is a rip off merchant

we booked very spontaneously at this lovely b&b while on a tour with our bycicles which we could store safely in the basement. the people working there are very nice and gave us great dinner ideas, very welcoming, breakfast was also really good and the room was spotless and nicely furnished. also, the location is good, for us everything was in walking distance.

This lodging was perfect for us as we are not crazy about being downtown in the middle of the hubbub. Bus transportation was free, very easy and steps from the B and B. Walking to town was very safe other than watching for bicycles and took no more than 15 minutes. Staff was super nice, friendly and helpful and gave us a nice orientation to the area as soon as we arrived. Hot coffee and tea all day long and a very nice continental breakfast in the morning. Lots of bathrooms. Private bathrooms right across the hall from each room. Super clean. Ask about Mt Pilatus.... short trip by bus with a 1/2 mile walk. They sell tickets at the hotel.

Very clean, very comfortable. Bathrooms are separate from the bedrooms, but there are several of them, so there was no vying for space. Everyone on staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food was a good, traditional Swiss breakfast. It's less than a five minute walk to the bus stop. Less than a 10 minute bus ride to the main bus station downtown. Very convenient. Quiet neighborhood.

We had a lovely stay at The Bed and Breakfast! We were in room 7, which was a corner room with a queen bed. The breakfast was great! Shared bathrooms were not an issue, we never had to wait. A little far from the main area (15-20 minute walk), but doable and I think there is a bus. Would recomend!

This is a lovely period old house that has been lovingly restored. The bedroom was clean and extremely comfortable and the staff just so helpful and friendly. In a direct bus route to the city. Would love to come back sometime.

The B&B is a beautiful old three story home about a 30 minute walk from the main train station. There is a tram that will get you there in about 10 minutes, and public trans use is free with a pass that is included in price of stay. All the big hotels closer to the station are much, much more expensive, so we chose this place, even though we could not get one of the few rooms with private baths. We were very apprehensive about the shared baths, but were told there were 8 shared baths for ten rooms, so we figured, no problem. However, as at least one other reviewer has said, if one of these rooms has four people in it and they each take one bathroom, as happened to us (thanks for your consideration, whoever you were....) then there could be delays. But for the most part it was not a problem. We loved this beautiful old place, but agree with some reviewers who noted that the floors were very creaky and loud, so loud it was hard not to wake my wife when I was up and about after she went to bed. Others guests could be heard as the floors creaked and groaned, but this has happened in many ancient B&B's we've been in, and every one was quiet late at night. This is a fairly quiet neighborhood in Lucerne. We did not notice a problem with traffic noise, even though I am sensitive to that and the home does not have the awesome soundproof windows we've found in lodgings throughout EU. If you sleep with the windows open, it could be noisy in early am as the city wakes. There were external wood shutters that could be closed, making room fairly, not totally, dark. Rooms and linens were all quite clean. Breakfast was adequate, not on par with an American B&B, but honestly I don't think most EU B&B''s are, so I would say its breakfast was typical of a B&B in EU. STAFF WERE ALL REALLY GREAT. It was a joy to interact with them. You can tell they love what they do and are dedicated to making your stay as pleasant as possible. I'd recommend this place to anyone not expecting luxury. It is a simple but well run B&B with lots of character. Try to get a private bath.

You will get all what you can expect from a B&B: very friendly staff, nice and high quality breakfast, a large room with a large bed (IKEA style), you share shower and toilet with your room neighbor (but all was always very clean) etc etc. The only downside is that you will hear the cars from the Main Street and probably also your room neighbors walking and talking. This is def. a minus. Lucky I had ear plugs with me. Suggestion to the management: actively offer ear plugs to those guests who are not used to sleep with a noisy environment.

The persons running the hotel are nice but in terms of value for money very poor. Most rooms have no attached bathrooms , very very basic furniture and fittings ( no cupboard , tv , pictures, desk etc ..) . Expensive and little value for the cost of a room compared to other hotels in the same price range.
