Located just inside the old district and a minute walk to the historic center. Good ambiance and the all staff we met were very friendly. Room were a bit small but with necessary amenities and very clean. Breakfast was also good.

Close to train station but not all that easy to find. Find the large church with two steeples and go that way. When you get to the church you are close. The staff was really nice. Our room was really small but not by European standards. The tub was difficult to use because it had no shower curtain. Our room...

We loved staying at Hotel Vadian. It was central to the city center, comfortable, had a great breakfast selection. Staff that we had contact with were very helpful and pleasant. Short walk to very good restaurants, recommended by hotel staff.

We stayed here for one night. The staff at the reception was friendly and check in was smooth. The room was comfortable although not really big. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and bright. Breakfast was sufficient. The biggest plus of it all is the Location. Just a short walk to the Church, Library and many eateries. The main...

The room is pretty simple but at this price, it is good value for money (clean, modern, nothing to complain about). The breakfast is good with a large choice of quality products. And the location is the greatest asset (which makes parking a little tricky).

Thank you CLA-ain for taking the time to give us feedback on tripadvisor. And we are happy, to hear you enjoyed your stay. You are quite right, parking is a little bit tricky, as our ancestors did not take that into account, when they built the city center ;-) . On the serious side, we do offer indoor and outdoor...

A beautiful small cosy hotel. Very clean, with friendly staff, substantial European breakfast. I had a small single room which was sufficient for my needs. The hotel,is exceptionally well situated for visiting the Catheteral and Library and close to tourist office, all less than 5 minutes from hotel fron door. A great choice if you are visiting the city and...

I only stayed here for one night en route to another city, but as soon as I saw the room, I wished I had time to stay longer! The Hotel and the 'dependence' an annex about 100 meters from the main hotel building are beautifully appointed, spotless and in a fantastic location a few yards from the Cathedral. I stayed...

Hello James G. We're glad you liked your room in the dependance. For those staying in the dependance, we try to make up for the small distance to the hotel, by providing tea and coffee making facilities, as well as a small fridge. For guests in the hotel, we offer a small tea and coffee bar in the small room...

This hotel enjoys a great location, just off one of the prettiest squares in St Gallen, and a one minute walk from the Abbey Library, one of the big highlights of the city. It is also just ten minutes walk from the main train station. Rooms are basic two star level, but clean and freshly like renovated. The ones facing...

Thank you Teajaye for your beautiful comments. You are quite right - one part of our proceeds go towards the "Herberge zur Heimat", which is more than a homeless shelter. It is actually a home for the needy, which is also run by us. We are a "twin establishment" so to speak and our staff works in the hotel as...

What a great place to stay. While only rated 2 stars, this hotel was just excellent. We stayed in the annex, just a couple of minutes walk from the main hotel. The rooms were charming, clean and well appointed. Located in the old town, there are loads of restaurants and bars to suit any taste. The reception staff couldn't have...

“There's a bit of construction on part of the front of the hotel; probably best to ask for a room away from that. Mine faced the inner courtyard and was very quiet & pleasant.”
