The hotel is a classic European accommodation, the hotel is clean, well organized and very clear and strict with their schedule, the beds and pillows can be better, hope that they will change them soon, the restaurant is very good, I will certainly recommend it.

When we go to Solothurn we usually have lunch or dinner in a Restaurant. The "Roter Turm" has become our favourite in Solothurn. The Restaurant is nice and comfortable, service quick and friendly. The meals are from high quality and if you want to celebrate a special event, make a reservation for the Tower Restaurant and get a Gourmet meal...

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel for business. The room is small with only a single bed, but is comfortable. Staff at breakfast are very efficient but the clock tower chiming on the hour and at every 15 minutes next door can be annoying if you are looking to sleep after a long trip from...

After biking for three days we finally stayed in a hotel that was quiet during the night. Yes, at 7 am the bell towers chimed and workers started hammering outside but from dusk to dawn with the windows open the outside noise was minimal. The room was a good size and the beds comfortable. Bathroom amenities were minimal (which isn't...

My colleague and I was invited for an evening meal by a local broadcast manufacture. There was around 12 of us that evening back in Feb and had a fabulous meal. The young lady served all of us single handed with all our food and drinks all evening. She was fantastic to say the least. Many thanks to Hans and...

Stayed here three times and staff always helpful and very friendly. Rooms are variable in terms of size and noise. Rooms at the front are larger but adjacent to clock tower, so get ready for the early morning chimes to start your day at 6am. Smaller rooms at the back, but quiet and adequate. Breakfast is ok, but needs more...

It's not easy to find a room for 4 people at a reasonable price in Switzerland. This hotel, located in the center of the old town, provided great comfort in a large Marilyn Monroe-themed room. The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast delightful and dinner in the Dachrestaurant was superb, even if it tried a little too hard to make...

I like old European hotels. Tilted floors? No problem. Weird shaped rooms? No problem. Microscopic elevator? No problem. Bad parking? No problem. But I struggle with some of the basics. Good news: Friendly staff, fantastic location, reasonable room sizes (only 50 years or so since the last major remodel...). Functional Wi-Fi, but at an additional charge. Parking in public parking...

Traditional and excellent service. Centric location, nice decorated rooms and first floor restaurant. Great panoramic view from the top floor restaurant. Good cuisine. Personnel is helpful, friendly and professional, the hotel is cozy and has a beautiful guardian dog.

The Roter Turm is in a pretty, historical building in the center of the historical city of Solothurm. The interior is decorated with many historical artifacts and furniture. Reception was very friendly, dinner service very fast with decent food and the Internet service fast and affordable. On the other hand, the rooms and bathrooms are basic and the breakfast selection...
