I stayed at the Hotel Ambassador for FIVE weeks earlier this year and found it to be a pleasant experience. My room was comfortable and functional, the bathroom was adequate and a decent size. I would have appreciated a small fridge perhaps as I was staying for such a long time as the kitchen and staffing at weekends is liberal.... More

Bed: 8,2 This is quite a good Hotel, but it does not really stand under 4 stars. There is construction work in the reception area, but not one sign excusing the inconvenience or explaining what, why or how long the construction will be. The staff in the reception was very friendly. There are two restaurants side by side in the Hotel,... More

We have been visiting as a family this hotel. It was clean, they have all the needed elements in the room. Reception is ok. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Coffee could be better and the service a bit more nice. The staff is helpful when asking for support.

Small hotel - close to train station, not far from town center and there are often free parking spaces in front of the hotel over night (you have to pay there during the day - after 8 AM). I had a very small single room, No12. Room had everything you need - although it felt a bit mixed together without... More

The hotel is in a good location for the railway station, local shops, restaurants and bars as well as being within easy access to the old town across the River Aare. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet with soap and towels provided. Although the usual environmental notices about laundering towels were displayed, our towels were changed every day whether... More

The hotel is situated perfectly in between the city (500m) and the main station (200m). The room was clean and there was enough space. Bathroom was nice, too. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly and uncomplicated. :-)

Nice little hotel with friendly staff. Clean rooms and good location not too far away from the lovely Solothurn old town. Free parking and free wi-fi available. Breakfast OK, but nothing special. I would recommend this hotel as the value for the money was very good.

The hotel is very close to the city center and to the train station. Rooms are clean and small. Average hotel. Convinient if come by railway. The breakfast is a little below normal. It is just a convinient stay for who is travelling through Swizzland.

I stayed here on a recent business trip. The room is small but clean and comfortable. I had to ask for an extra towel and the bathroom was a bit small. I LOVED the Jura coffee machine downstairs. Breakfast is nice and European standard. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Location is walking distance to town centre and eateries. The... More

Stayed at this hotel for one night during a tour of this part of Switzerland. The hotel is family run and comfortable. There is small car park at the back of the hotel. The room we were allocated was quite acceptable for a one night stay. The room was clean and had free WiFi. Breakfast was quite good with plenty... More
