Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Manor farm has very good facilities, shop open long hours, laundry, bathrooms frequently cleaned and spotless. Stayed 7 nights in a Eurocamp "Safari Tent" which have 5 pitches in the plot north of the road - well equipped, very clean, well looked after, and quiet at night. Good mattresses on the beds too. The "beach" allows swimming and the lake was often warm and still enough for paddle boarding (hire next door). On site restaurant was very good. The ferry into Interlaken from the on site pier was free and made a really nice trip. Used the included free lido in Interlaken a few times - fun slide and huge pool. Fantastic days out in the Lauterbrunnen valley only 10 mins drive away. Can't wait to go back.

First time with Canvas and impressed with staff & mobile unit. Staff were very helpful, accommodation was very clean and they were always on hand. Seems that the company may be letting them go due to visas etc now required to work in Europe which is a shame as probably the best reps we have come across. The mobile unit was great and a good layout with good size beds (3 bed van).
The site itself is right on the lake although it is split by a main road and the area closest to the lake is for tourers. Pitches seemed to be small and all very squeezed together.
Its well maintained and the water sports next door were good value. Beware that you have to pay for the beach here and its not included in the watersports hire.
The shop & restaurant are pricey but it is Switzerland (9 CHF for a small jar of coffee in shop) & beach bar next door offered better value.
There is a free bus/boat ticket included when you stay here and the bus stop is right outside the site. There is a good supermarket near the bus/train station in Interlaken
No evening entertainment but this suited us
Great base for exploring the area

What a fantastically situated campsite, right on the banks of lake Thun. The campsite itself is spotless and has good facilities. The pizzeria is spot on, if a little pricey, but it is Switzerland after all. Swimming daily in the lake was bliss.

We stayed in a canvas holidays mobile home. Although the home itself was absolutely spotless and the Canvas reps were spot on, I would not stay in the mobile home again. It was very dated, furnishings and fixtures very old and really let the experience down. The grounds around the caravan were in poor state, weeds and nettles growing around the caravan and the grass was in desperate need of a cut which was a shame for our young son. There was offcuts of banister and wood under the caravan which looked unsightly.

Overall we really enjoyed our holiday and can't wait to come back, but were felt disappointed at the condition of the mobile home and grounds around it considering the price we paid for it. Im not advising people to avoid canvas as I felt they were easy to deal with and the reps were great, but maybe look at their other accommodation options on the site such as tents.

We stayed in a Eurocamp mobile homes which we have done for many years on this site.
The Good:
1. The park is located on the shores of lake Thun (however most of the mobiles are located across a main road but there is an underpass) which is very large, deep and cold but fantastic with outstanding scenery.
2. There is a shop, playpark, an area for football (time restrictions), games room.
3. The Eurocamp pitches are quite large.
The bad:
1. The park rules are not properly enforced eg quite clearly states 1 car per pitch however we had an extended family next to us with 2 cars which they parked half on our pitch and half on their other neighbours pitch thus giving them a clear pitch but causing inconveinence to others. Eurocamp did NOT intervene.

The site is approx 2 miles from Interlaken but is a very nice walk via any of the many routes plus the bus and the lake boat are free for the journey.
You also need to remember that Switzerland is horrendously expensive so if driving stock up in France as you can no longer take a lot of the essentials from the UK.

This is a fantastic campsite to hire from Canvas, we were in a mobile home, but equally to take a tent, caravan or motor home.
Beautiful setting on lake Thun. You can lake swim, June-September & before if your brave enough!
It’s kept spotless clean with a shop for essential items, launderette.
There’s a fantastic family run restaurant, suitable for all ages & children are made very welcome, also Dogs! Excellent quality food and good price.
You can catch a bus or boat ride from next to the campsite into Interlaken.

We go as a couple now, but we did come 35 years ago with very young children!

We were due to stay in a Cabin in April/May. Due to the Covid 19 crisis our flights from Australia were cancelled and we have since been banned from travelling by the Australian Government. I wrote an email about our predicament to Altogold and advised we would reluctantly have to cancel our booking. I requested a refund if possible.

I got a response in 2 days which was impressive as I am still waiting for responses from other travel providers during this busy and stressful times. Altogold advised they understood my situation and gave me a full refund on my on booking.

I am hoping to do the trip I had planned for this year, next year instead now and due to Altogolds compassion and good customer service I will be looking to rebook with them to return the favour.

The campsite is in the most beautiful location, with easy access to the gorgeous turquoise waters of the lake. The campsite staff are friendly, the pizza restaurant is great (look out, the pizzas are HUGE!).
Word of caution though... you'll probably find the best deals through 3rd parties, we booked though Allcamps, who use the local company Altogold. And what you save in initial cost, Altogold try and recover in hidden fees and extras left right and centre! Eg £80 for sheets for the week (how expensive must their laundry be?!)

The best bit about this campsite is the location. Situated right on the lake Thun it was a magical place to go to cool off, watch the sunset and go on the paddle board. Stayed in a eurocamp classic tent in a heatwave which was hot to say the least! Eurocamp reps were lovely and popped to say hello and see how we were a few times over our stay. Toilets /showers /washing up facilities immaculate always saw them being cleaned. Can also use your camping card to get free boat/bus into Interlaken.

This is a very busy site, we traveled with Euro camp and stayed in a premium Caravan. Whilst the caravan was in a tired and run down condition, the site is absolutely perfect for exploring the mountains and surrounding area. Whilst the shop has limited stock its excellent for the basics and the staff are friendly and helpful. The bus pass which allows free travel into Interlaken is brilliant as is the 2 for 1 Pizza on a Thursday. A tip is to book before you travel as it is so popular. The Eurocamp reps were both helpful and knowledgeable regarding the surrounding areas and places to visit.

We used the bus a lot which was free for us as we were camping, however we drove to Switzerland and found having the car essential. The train is very expensive! If you want to see places then you will have to drive. I didn’t see any park and rides? Getting to Interlaken is best by bus, we didn’t drive there at all, except to go to Lidl, or Aldi and Landi which are further than a walk, especially with two small children.
