We stayed at this hotel for three nights on a Shearings holiday. The hotel was good with a large room and a comfortable bed. The shower was powerful and hot, it was at the back of the hotel. There was building work at the time which spoilt the view, scaffolding not attractive. The food was generally good both breakfast (hot...

We went with GRJ and were very disappointed with their choice of hotel, although clean an comfortable. We had a room at the front and for the first two days (and nights) of our stay we had a lot of noise from a bike race that was going on - music, cheering, cow bells clanging etc. However, we were better...

We stayed here for two nights on our road trip back from Switzerland to UK. The hotel is very elegant with beautiful murals and pieces of heavy furniture, parquet floors etc. Our room was huge! The beds were comfy and extra pillows provided on request. Bathroom was huge too, I love a lot of space. The staff are eager to...

very centrally located next to the train and bus station, just 3 to 5 min walk. The hotel it self has seen better days but in general is in good shape. Breakfast buffet althought not so rich is more than enough with 2 types of bread, jogurth, juice (not fresh) milk , müssli, fruits, cheese (this is very poor choice...

Location: Beautifully situated with some splendid views of the local mountains and waterfalls. Hotel: A grand old building very nicely decorated. Room: Excellent, spacious, clean, quiet and very comfortable beds. We stayed in room 445 which had great views both to the north and the east, it was very relaxing to fall to sleep with the sound of the Alpbach...

You are greeted by a wonderful and friendly staff that are eager to make sure you stay is enjoyable. The hotel itself is located near the heart of this cute, classic Alpine Switzerland country town. You can hear waterfalls at night as there are some 50+ near by. The rooms are comfy, modern, clean, well equipped and yet hold a...

I spent a night at the Parkhotel Du Sauvage recently. Its a very nice hotel located in the center of Meiringen which itself is a pretty town. The rooms are quite spacious with all necessary amenities. It has a flat screen TV and has wifi connectivity in the rooms which is chargeable for guests. The room which I stayed in...

The hotel is in an absolutely brilliant location with the Reichenbach Falls, Aare Gorge, the Alpentower and the highly efficient Swiss rail network on your doorstep. Exploring the entire region is a 'doddle'. Just as Important are the staff who are warm, friendly and extremely helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Currently the hotel is undergoing some refurbishment, although...

With GRJ group who were great fun which certainly helped to make up for the dreadful disappointment of this hotel. The review by Joan R was spot on. The food was at best inedible. Breakfast was good but we all dreaded the evening meals. It was the first time I have ever had to chew fish as if it was...

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights while touring Switzerland. Our purpose in Meiringen was to go sledding at Hasliberg Resort. This is a great place to stay if you are interested in outdoor activities. It was mere steps to the lowest level lift for Hasliberg. The hotel was quaint, clean and very well appointed. Main areas were welcoming...
