This is probably the hardest review I've ever had to write. We spent a weekend at this historic hotel for a wedding. The rate was significantly reduced, which was in the end a great deal, since I believe the normal rate for our room 123 is around 500 CHF. I don't think its worth the normal rate, considering the brand...

We stayed in one of the three suites. It was fantastic. Nothing has changed at this hotel in over 100 years. All of the chips, worn, and wear an tear, give this place a special charm that can't be found anywhere else. We think if this place ever renovated to look perfect and pristine it would lose its charm. Location...

The best food in Davos, very friendly, attentive service, nostalgic artc deco interiors. It is accessible via gondel train, so the location might not be absoluetly convenient. But even if you chose not to stay in this hotel, a dinner here is highly recommend! Probably the best food in Davos!

Wonderfully placed on top of Davos. The hotel needs some new paintings. the building is phantastic and old-fashioned. A dream for fans of Grand Hotels or Historic Hotels. Prices unfortunally rather high - it is to pay for that location.

We had 3 nights at the Schatzalp, first visit to the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. First thing to say is the location is absolutely fantastic! you reach the hotel by funicular from the street below, on exiting the funicular station the hotel is right in front of you. It is situated facing the mountains. We had a...

With a group of friends I stayed at the Hotel - I have had heard already about "the magic mountain" - when I arrived I was already shocked from the backside of the house (I arrived from this side). Really old and shabby, so ok let’s have a look where the entrance is - and I have seen a lot...

We wanted to do the tour which promised to be so interesting. However the guide who seemed very stressed had a large group of people and no English information sheets. So although my freind was able to speak in German he could not translate fats enough for me and the whole experience was not worthwhile at all which was so...

This is a location of living history. The Hotel ist more than a hundert years old and used to be a clinic for tubercolosis. Today it is a full service hotel. Do not expect to find a fully furbished modern hotel, it is more like travelling in time. If you like to visit a historic place, than it is the...

We arrived by car. The first impression was very positive and everythig was absolutely hassle-free. They took the luggage out of the car and parked our car. When we arrived at the hotel with the funicular ski and luggage were already in the room / skiroom. BTW you can use the funicular as often as you want and it runs...

We had a great time staying in this lovely historic hotel. Enjoyed relaxing on the sun terrace with amazing views, and tasting the local cuisine in the hotel restaurants. I would like to say a big thank you to reception staff and manager for looking after us so well, especially after I broke my wrist on the slopes.
