Just spent 11 nights at this hotel, a sort walk from the Piazza Grande, the boat station and town centre. Very clean and pleasant, simply but comfortably furnished, excellent walk-in shower, fridge, coffee machine (which also produces hot water for tea) and an adequate supply of tea/coffee etc. Nice balcony for sitting out in the afternoon. Air conditioning/heating worked well during mixed weather. The staff were excellent, must mention Samira on the front desk - a really friendly person and very helpful. The breakfast was adequate, with cooked meats, cereals, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, tea and coffee machines, and the very helpful assistant in the restaurant was good at explaining our to be make the coffee. Attached is the Restaurant Perbacco where we had our evening meal - we booked through Inghams who arranged a half-board stay for us. One bonus was the Ticino Card, which lets you travel for free on all buses and trains within the Ticino area of Switzerland, the use of the bus also saved us an uphill walk to the rail station. If we visited Locarno again we would certainly stay here.

Loved this central hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Stayed for three nights and the staff were very helpful in suggesting eating places within my budget (Switzerland is very expensive). Would stay there again.

This is a 5 min walk from the station and 2 from the lake. It was noisy when we were there but only because there was a music event on. This chain is super good; lovely rooms, with coffee machine, very clean, very functional, decent prices, even during the Moon & Stars event. There is an excellent restaurant on the ground floor; not part of hotel, but just super

The hotel is well located to the train station, the old town centre, as well as the lake front. I enjoyed my clean and comfortable room. There was a coffee machine in the room, but no electric kettle. As a tea drinker, I was happy therefore with the drinks corner in the breakfast area which was accessible round the clock with hot water and complimentary teabags. Breakfast was more simple than I usually like, but was the norm for Switzerland with the usual boiled eggs, ham, cheese, breads, fruits. No cooked items per se, but a nice touch was allowing us to order the doneness of the boiled eggs, 4min vs. 8 min if I remember correctly. The red eggs in the basket were hardboiled eggs, and not just for display – which I did not realize till I saw someone eating them on my second day. The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful! I was able to check in early at 1pm, and given the Ticino ticket which I could start using there and then. Really appreciated that, as I wanted to go sightseeing as soon as possible, and I enjoyed the discounts and free public transport with the Ticino ticket.
