This is a FABULOUS old world hotel. It embraces is turn of the century style while fitting in well with the modern world. The hotel staff were wonderful and did a great job maki g us welcome. This is a must stay location. When you come here be sure to check out their history rooms for the hotel. Great location right by the lake.

This is a charming, renovated historic hotel across the street from the Lake. We had a room with a view of the lake and two small balconies--one chair on each. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. It unfortunately has NO ventilation! The included breakfast was very lovely with a lot of choices. The hotel is located at the end of a pedestrian street lined with shops and restaurants.

We enjoyed three nights at this historic hotel in Lugano. The location couldn’t have been better. From the train station we hopped on #4 bus and it too us to a stop in front of the hotel. From our room we had a sideways view of the water off our small balcony. On he first floor was a lovely lounge and sitting area. We enjoyed sitting on the small balcony there watching people below as the evening settled in. The breakfasts were very complete and tasty. We would stay here again without question.

We stayed here on our Grand Tour of Switzerland by Train. The location is excellent and walkable right at the lake and the old town. Rooms are clean and comfortable. It has AC but we did not use it. Breakfast was excellent with many choices. Staff friendly and professional. Beautiful turn-of-the-century building lovingly renovated but with all the modern charm. This 3-Star hotel has 5-Star charm and service. Highly recommendable.

This historical hotel has a reputation since 1906, and it doesn't disappoint in 2023. There is no better place from which to explore Lugano: the perfect location and all the comfort and service you might need. We enjoyed the room with a small balcony and unforgettable view of the lake from the 5th floor, the rich breakfast, the outdoor swimming pool and table tennis, and the lounge where you can just sit and talk, sipping a free coffee. As for the excellent staff: everybody at the Internazionale like their work, and it shows.

This hotel is perfect and perfectly charming. Ideally situated across the promenade from Lake Lugano, this historic hotel has everything. From the generous breakfast, warm and welcoming staff, and lovely pool and garden area - this hotel met all of our needs. The room was well-appointed with a large bathroom, comfy bed and romantic balconies. We took advantage of the Honesty Bar and grabbed two beers to enjoy in the garden. The hotel is also in the heart of the upscale shopping and cafe district of Lugano, and we spent many hours just enjoying the town. Lugano is a wonderful place to visit. Take a funicular up for a fabulous view of the area. We hope to return one day to this lovely place. Thank you Hotel International au Lac staff.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Hotel is located just near the lake (true to its name) with wonderful view and a few steps in the city center. Lovely staff at front desk. They booked a restaurant to visit only by boat (Grotto Tour) which can be done from May to end of August/first week of September: great experience.

This just an outstanding hotel. It history with style and grace. This makes my fourth stay at the hotel and it will not be the last. Fantastic and ever helpful staff, restfull garden and pool, just a joyful stay.
