The best pillows I've had in Switzerland, but that's about where it stops. As soon as I walked up, the building looked dated. Walking to the room the halls smelt weird. The paint was cracking on the walls in the room and the towels were starting to fray. Watch out for the shower. While it was warm and good water pressure, the step in and out was borderline dangerous. Staff were nice and friendly, and we did get an included bus pass, which would have been nice before arriving as the walk is about 10-15 with light luggage. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Felt like it was bought from the supermarket. The room was clean, but felt old with the plastic chairs.

by: Michael Chrisman Perfectly located near Lake Lugano and main rail & bus services for this marvellously family owned and run hotel. Great attention to detail by its proprietor Learco Bernasconi and wife along with desk administrator Leila who all keep it spotlessly clean and are always only too glad to please and recommend things without being overly fussy. Hotel offers free local transport voucher which also includes a number of discountable Lugano attractions. Attached bistro restaurant/pizzeria offers a menu which is frequently changed during the week to keep it fresh and interesting. Well and moderately price rooms which include breakfast offering a continental style spread. Overall- literally little if anything to complain of. Lugano – Colorado We took the local bus two stops to the hotel which we reserved with balcony and view of Lake Lugano, plus the breakfast which was great. One could eat inside or outside (where we also enjoyed dinner one evening. The staff was most helpful, as we wanted to make the most of our 3 nights stay: two boat rides, art museum visit, strolls along the lake, etc. There was one glitch which necessitated a change of rooms. Kudos to staff member Christina for her service and help.

Stayed for two nights in a single room. The hotel seems kind of old-fashioned, but doesn't lack in anything. Buffet Breakfast was tasty. The staff is friendly. Location of the hotel is great, within walking distance of the station (800 m). Price is reasonable.

Comfortable well air-conditioned room; well appointed modern bathroom. Three beds ( great for us with 22 year old son). Decent breakfast with excellent service. Parking expensive at 10 Franks a day and often we got the last space. Friendly owners. Good location. We can recommend this hotel without hesitation: very reasonable prices.

Just spend 1 night in single room. Quiet, comfortable, good amenities, helpful reception. Wanted to use the bicycle but too bad, could not find one for my size (petite). Hotel well situated, bus station right in front. Stairs nearby bring you down directly to the lake shore, at LAC (Lugano Art&Culture ).

Very friendly and helpful reception. The room was comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and of the two we preferred the evening dinner. The hotel was centrally situated for the station and walking down to the lake. On the whole an enjoyable trip.

This hotel is only 1 stop from the train/bus station. After settling in we took a short walk down to the lake for dinner. The staff were up to the usual Swiss efficiency and the location makes it a good pick.

Hotel is located closely to lake Lugano. Staff is polite, serves you with smile. Hotel is not very far from Lugano Railway Station. Rooms are very well maintained with full of amenities, breakfast is served with variety of items. Hotel provides free bus passes for your entire stay. Hotel owns a restaurant, though, it is closed on Sunday.

We were looking for a place for dinner after a five hour trip from northern Switzerland. The service was good and the pizza tasty. We had plenty of food for another meal. The hotel is near the train station and city center.
