Nice view to the lake, friendly and correct personell in reception and breakfast room, nothing missing. I personally like hotels that gives a personal touch on decoration, colours art etc, felt like a time trip... No alcohol in minibar though, just soft drinks and beer etc

The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk along the lake front from the town centre. We found multi level carpark almost opposite the hotel entrance (the entrance and reception is from the back of the hotel) and it cost E11 for 8 hours and E2 for each hour after that. The hotel has the potential to be beautiful but at...

We had two days only to see Lake Como. We chose Varenna as we were rail travellers and this hotel was an easy taxi drive from the station for only a few Euros. You could walk it but it's uphill and we had cases to lug. (BTW the coffee shop at the action is fabulous). We had a room with...

well, much of what has been written beforehand, we found to be true. The place is a little tired and in need of some loving attention, but to be honest it just about fitted our needs. The room was clean, bathroom as well, so no complaints. The bed wasn't the most comfortable in the world, and the pillows (if they...

A slightly tired traditional hotel whose main asset is its proximity to the Paradiso ferry terminal. Contrary to what I read on the booking engine, it did not have parking facilities and I paid a fortune in the underground garage across the road. My room was old fashioned but clean, with a view over the lake and the fountain. The...

A classic, smaller, but grand looking hotel, right on the lake, right at the fountain of the lake. We had a Junior suite with the lakeview, and the room itself is really nice and plenty spacious, with two balconies. The room itself seems to have been recently updated nicely, however, the bathroom got missed in the renovation and was a...

We have stayed one weekend in this lovely hotel. It is older hotel, with weird, dated and a little creepy decor, but somehow it fits the place. The room was clean, not very big, but comfortable with dated furniture. The highlight was the terrace. As it was only room in the hotel which has it, we were lucky. Although many...

The hotel is in a prime spot with a great restaurant downstairs . It has a bit of a Fawlty Towers feel about it as you are not allowed to enter from the front due to the dark nightclub on way through to reception so you have to walk around the building be wary that the nightclub goes to 5...

located on the lakeside, just separated by the main road, the Victoria is one of these locations that have its glory behind them. Dusty velvet and carpets make the interior, combined with ancient Egyptian drawings and the like... But then on weekend, it might get very loud here, when they try to play the modern groove with some loud music....

bathroom was fairly modern, however, tried 3 electrical points without any success. The bathroom one was not working and neither where two in the bedroom. Receptionist came and had to crawl on floor to find one almost hidden under bedside table. Opening cupboard I noticed kettle, two mugs - no spoon, milk, sugar, tea or coffee.. Rang reception who told...
