Not being familiar with Zermatt, booked and chose this hotel because of location. Its about 150m away from the Zermatt train station. Its also near to the Train that goes to the Matterhorn. The room is excellent and amenities are also quite good. Very quaint Swiss setting and furnishing. Breakfast included is also good. I would stay here again. Check...

Decent hotel. It has a retro cool vibe in the rooms. Checkin was quick and without problems. Breakfast is plentiful and fresh. Every member of the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is superbe in the city center of Zermatt

We stayed 2 nights there, worth the price but kinda small... but the breakfast was delicious! With a wide range of bread to cold cuts and eggs. And other thing is that it is very convenient. It is just around 300m away from the train station and close to the main street. But don't worry its quiet. I will sure...

We stayed 2 night here. The room had plenty of space for getting geared up for hiking or whatever your preferred activity is. The breakfast was standard European style of meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereals, breads, croissants and eggs. Coffee, OJ and milk included too. The location was very convenient being only a 2 minute walk from the main train station...

I have stayed here on several occasions, the rooms are dated, but the price is right. The management is very accommodating--I asked to see several rooms after I didn't like the first one offered. Took a room with a nice view on upper floor. Breakfast was very good. We also opted for dinner, and we weren't disappointed. All in all,...

Excellent hotel with great friendly helpful staff, comfortable well equipped rooms and a really good breakfast. Also brilliant location only 2 minutes from the train station and right in the heart of town. Highly recommended.

The Alphubel is a very nice, small hotel in the center of Zermatt. Food was excellent (especially the soup) and great value for money given the prices elsewhere in Zermatt. It is a few mins walk from the station but they will pick you up in an electric taxi if needed,. Our room was a triple and was a good...

Easy access to ski slopes via Gornergrat railway or ski bus from outside Gornergrat station. Excellent four course dinner for those choosing half board. Good breakfast selection. Choice of rooms at various price levels. Free wi-fi. Comfortable lounge. Sauna. No tour operators offer this so for independent travellers. I have been using this hotel regularly for many years and have...

If you are looking for a very comfortable/romantic hotel that is a little special then this is probably not for you. However if you are looking for somewhere clean and reasonable to stay while spending all your time skiing in Zermatt then this may be a good fit. The room/bathroom was clean but the decor is very dated/jaded. The food...

Located in the center and close to the 2 transports up the hills. Very friendly, good service. The food in the restaurant is good, a little heavy. Some of the rooms are small, but adequte and would need an interior decorator, the management being obviously somewhat old fashioned! Due to good price in high season 4****.
