We stayed at this hotel as part of a Cosmos tour of Switzerland. We liked the location, our room was just fine, comfortable, etc. but the staff made me feel like they wished I had never been born. Just not friendly. NO effort, no smiles, nothing. I really don't think they wanted us there.

We have stayed in the Tschugge on previous occasions, both summer and winter, and have always been happy. This time, the last week of August, was no exception. Our room was spacious and functional. We had lots of gear to spread out and were more than happy with everything provided, including plenty of wardrobe space, shelves and hangers. The bathroom... More

Have stayed here twice in past 3 years, 2 days each visit... and absolutely love this hotel. Tschugge is your traditional Swiss chalet-type hotel, cosy and comfortable, but with good amenities for everything you need. has a family-like atmosphere appreciated by guests. Loved the natural large rock walls in the dining and lounge areas. Has a small lift that works... More

The hotel was full of character and the staff were more than friendly and helpful. Beautiful views from our balcony (room 203). Restaurant was charming and the food excellent. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and hope one day to return.

This hotel is well worth stay as they did outstanding job in offering a great service. The hotel is just off the Main Street and within walking distance of the train station and cable car stations. Our room had a great view across the valley and Zermatt

We stayed here for two nights whilst touring Switzerland by rail. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the railway station up quite a long hill which flattens out as the hotel is reached. Zermatt is car free so its either walk or take a "milk float" style taxi. Our luggage was delivered by Swissrail but we noticed later... More

Its a 7-8 mins walk from Zermatt station, the route is quiet a walk with lot of luggage, while going we did drag the luggage but on check out the hotel did help us with a drop to the station in their electric van, the checkin was smooth and we got rooms on 4th floor with great views of the... Zermatt is a beautiful town and we got to stay in a beautiful hotel, they have balconies attached with each room where you may enjoy sipping tea with the beautiful snow covered mountains, the rooms were nice and cozy, they were extremely sweet to give us a drop at the airport since the hotel is situated at a height, had... Excellent hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Would be more than happy to stay again. We had one of the suite rooms, which had two balconies with lovely views overlooking the town and the mountains. We stayed half board, lots of variety for breakfast. Dinner was quality, home made meals. Enjoyed sitting on the sun terrace at the hotel. Only... More
