We stayed at the Albana Real, booking last minute as there was no snow in Italy and we had to scramble to relocate somewhere we could ski. By way of context, we are seasoned world travellers and used to staying in nice hotels. It turned out that we could not have been luckier. The hotel is family run and the... More

We just stayed here for a ski weekend and it was perfect. It is a lovely hotel in swiss style with woodwork but new, tasteful and luxurious decoration perfectly maintained. The bed was wonderful with super high thread count white linens, the bathroom was very modern, they leave thoughtful little details as free gifts in the room like sunglasses and... More

Hotel Albana Real is indeed a super nice hotel in walking distance from center of the beautiful city of Zermatt. My favorite room is 206/207. Spacey and with a great view of the mountains. Staff are super friendly and nice and they have the most luxury smoking place that works well even for non smokers !! The Slalom ski rent... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights because of our tour group. There are also many hotels nearby the shopping area and easy access to Matterhorn. There is no reason to pick this hotel with very poor customer service. Our buffet breakfast was included with the program. The lady staff who worked both morning was so rude. She often expressed... More

We are very sorry to hear that. As we had a lot of customers it was necessary to place the people on their tables. We were not shouting at them. Maybe it was on the hectic of this morning that you felt like that. We hope that you spend a nice stay in our Hotel and in Zermatt... Best Regards... More

We stayed 3 nights in July which happened to be during the celebration of the first ascent of the Matterhorn. Mountain spine was lit with lights and a street party was enjoyed by the whole village. We enjoyed the hotel , it is well run by Sophie and her family. Our room was on the 4th floor with a breathtaking... More

The most impressive for this hotel is Matterhorn view from my room. Room was ok only shower was not work and very less amenities. Staff was not standby after 10 pm. Shopping a are just around hotel by 5 minutes walking. Breakfast was simple, not variety. I try teppanyaki at hotel for dinner, it was not delicious.

Stayed there 4 days in jan 2015. Very nice breakfast. Special orders possible. Nice big rooms and very kind service. Location was also great - 5 min walk from main street and also an easy walk to Matterhorn Express - took the buss though :-) - For smokers they have a super smoking lounge

My corner room was spacious, but the AC never worked. Service was geared towards getting things done with no additional warmth. It will be much better if this classic, touristy hotel could run half an extra mile to make guests feel at home.

First of all, I would like to thank the owners who gave me the opportunity to be upgraded to one of they new modern refreshed rooms with a beautiful view on the mythic matterhorn mountain.
