We arrived in Zermatt and fell in love with this place. There was a short walk from the train station and a quick stop to the supermarket on the way. You walk inside the hotel and there is a pay phone that you speed dial reception who give you a room number and we found this added to the charm....

This hotel is barely 10minutes walking from the Zermatt train station and we were staying only for 1 night. When we reached there, the door was open and there was no one in sight at the ground floor which had a living room and 3 locked doors! When we looked around we found instructions to call a number from the...

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. It's less than 5 minutes from the train station, but in a really peaceful location with stunning views of the Matterhorn. We had a balcony facing the Matterhorn which was perfect for appreciating the views in the evening. Yes, it's old, but we found everything clean and in working order and the price is...

This hotel is so old it reminded me of Paganini for some reason. I should never have booked it except that we were anxious to get one as my niece was coming from Japan and we wanted to give her a good time because of her tsunami trouble. To cap it all BT through their own fault and callousness cut...

I must start with; we would have never stayed there had we had another chance but Zermatt was fully booked and it was our only option so we thought, fine it's only 4 days... well... you rather stay home! Room smelly, small and very very old!!! it needs to be renewed urgently! we had one horrible night (new year) since...

The B&B is located a short 5 minute walk, with luggage, from the train station. Our room #10, was located on the 3rd floor, with our own private bathroom. The room was 'old and worn', with thin walls. We had a corner room with an outside rap around deck, which was also old and worn. The shared bathroom on the...

This place had everything we needed at a rate that was completely agreeable. Breakfast every morning was great, right next to the gornergrat train entrance so we didnt miss the 7am train to the top! Great sunrise views of the Matterhorn right from the room as you have coffee or tea. Simple shower and sink in your room, shared toilet...

Stayed here with a large group of friends over New Year's for four nights. We'd originally booked six rooms for anywhere between three and six nights. The owner, Mr Silvano, is very eclectic, as mentioned in other reviews. He only accepts cash--no credit cards. When we went to pay upon departure, he got upset and claimed that all rooms had...

the hotel is less than 10 minutes from the train station. the old man who runs the hotel with his wife is really helpful. we booked a double room and a triple room. the triple room was meant to be on the top floor. when he saw the luggage we had, and because he had spare capacity, he gave us...

I went to Zermatt for just one overnight with my 5 year old and a friend and we were looking for a place with affordable separate rooms. We ended up getting 2 separate rooms at Cima, they each had 2 twin beds and a shower and sink, the toilet was in the hallway. The room was small, a little tv,...
