As a business traveller my schedule changes on short notice. I reseved the room for 3 nights, but as my plans have changed, I had to check out after the 2nd night in the morning. Anyway they told me that it was too late to cancel the following night and they charged my card for that. They had a whole...

I recently visited Apeldoorn on business and stayed at this hotel. The hotel is nice, staff are friendly and the rooms are ok. The room was just ok but clean. Air con didn't seem to work. Breakfast was good, omelette in particular was very tasty!. I would stay again for the price.

Fantastic location, great facilities and wonderfully helpful and friendly staff. The pool and gym were an extra surprise. My room was spacious and clean. I was able to walk to all the places I needed to visit and the local area was safe and clean. Most of all the hotel was excellent value for money.

We stayed in Apeldoorn a few times, but compared to the Bilderberg (which is also outdated) this was a bit worse. Beds were comfortable, but the room was pretty dusty and the hotel could do with a bit of modernization.

we have been really pleased with everything from hotel staff, environment, room cleanliness, dimensions, amenities - we were lucky, as been told, that we have enjoyed full time sun shinning with great temperatures; to mention breakfast personnel and food variety - one word of high appreciation to Mrs Rosa Mulder with Bastion hotel in Appeldoorn

This was a quick stop over on our touring holiday. We had evening meal and breakfast which were extreemly good. During our stay we found the staff to be extreemly helpful and courteous. A minor note, perhaps staff should move the beds more often to clean under them!

I live in Den Haag and took my mother and 2 of her sisters from the USA to Apeldoorn. We stayed at this hotel and had a lovely stay. The rooms were a good size, in a quiet neighborhood and close to the things we wanted to see. We ate breakfast and dinner here both days of our stay and...

The staff at the Bastion are like a family and they treat their guests this way as well. I felt so welcome when I arrived and during my entire stay (5 nights). Rented a bike and biked around the city. Apeldoorn is a great city.

This hotel is reasonable value for money, the rooms very basic but huge in size. The pool is quite cold but the steam room is possibly the hottest I've ever used. Breakfast was plentiful and included in the room rate. Reception staff pleasant and always happy to help. The town is a 15/20 minute walk and has a vibrant atmosphere...
