Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice hosts, flexible and accommodating. Lovely gorgeous lady brought a superb breakfast in a basket, with extremely nice home made bread rolls and croissants, home made jams, fruit salad, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meats, humous. We had the top floor apartment, which is very big, 2 big rooms plus kitchen and bathroom, with a sunny balcony overlooking the quiet back gardens of surrounding buildings plus an outlook to the St Pieter Fort up on the hill behind. The coffee machine was excellent, grinding fresh beans and pressure pumping the coffee, with a steamer as well. Overall a really nice place in a great location, a short scenic walk to the center or the other way up to the fort and grotten (tunnels), quarry and forests..

I stayed in the Apartment on the first floor. The Apartment is cozy and comfortable and is really well equipped with everything you need. I felt completely at home in the Apartment and the Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The Wifi is excellent and the TV has many great stations. There is a coffee machine in the kitchen and I really enjoyed my morning cup of coffee every day. There is a very nice terrace for the Apartment - and I enjoyed relaxing there in the evenings. The Town is about a five minute walk away, so the location is ideal. I will be coming to Maastricht alot in the future and will make sure I book my favourite apartment well in advance - as I think it is very popular - and now I undestand why! Hotel Pastis - very highly recommended!

This is a great little hotel, with quirky rooms. Raymond greeted us very warmly and we felt at home straight away. The room did not have air con but a fan was provided which was ok. The hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk to vrijthof square and city centre. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Maastricht again.

Not our first visit to Maastricht but our first stay at Hotel Pastis which is located just outside the 'old' town and is a very easy walk to all the wonderful laneways, shops, galleries and river crossings of this beautiful city - and all located in a quiet residential area. I had requested a quiet room as am a very light sleeper and was subsequently offered the apartment as it is on the top floor facing the quieter of the two streets (2nd) but is up a very steep and narrow set of stairs - our hosts did offer to assist with baggage. The apartment was more spacious than our needs and was adequately furnished, bathroom very small, but clean. We enjoyed the buffet breakfasts each morning of our 4 night stay (cooked to order available) and a local vegetarian restaurant just 2 blocks away towards Mount St Pieter offered very tasty fare in a rustic setting for the one night we were not dining elsewhere with friends. Yes we would stay again with Susan and Raymond.

Very nice hotel. We had an apartment with the possibolity to cook. Very good breakfast in a comfortable room. Unfortunally is not easy to book, due to a limited number of rooms. Book in advance.and enjoy it.

This is a small hostel/hotel with all the confort you need plus an excellent service. It is quiet, run by a couple who know their business. I love the service style and the way it is furniture and decorated. I felt at home. They give you the key of the front door! and ...they own and run the lovely restaurant, just run the corner...the restaurant is located on the same street, 150 meters further in the direction of the hill. On your left side on the corner. On presentation of their key, hotel guests get a 10% discount on the à la carte menu! Stayed for 3 nights with 5 friends. We got a very friendly welcome and lovely tea and biscuits. We all had lovely spacious rooms, 2 people per room. The hotel is very clean and provided all we needed. A lovely touch was the tea and coffee facilities on the landing. We had a lovely breakfast each morning which set us up for the day. The hotel is only 10 minute walk to old town. Would highly recommend this hotel. We were in maastricht for Andre Rieu concert which was amazing.
